I think he could play H-Back in the NFL personally. He's got the size and skill set to do it. Those guys usually can keep their careers going productively longer than RBs.

I get the logic behind that thinking. Not sure if I think it's a good idea for him to play another year of college ball trying to do that though.

Edit: changed "make a great hback" to play. It's damn hard to be great in the NFL.

As good as he is at pass pro and getting tough yards, I don't see why he wouldn't stick it out for 5 more games and get to the league on a team that runs downhill. If Henry can have success, so can Hurd, imo

They asked Dez Bryant about his mom being a hooker for crying out loud lol. 74 has definitely painted Hurd as a whiney self centered prick and lost the kid money. I said it weeks ago and I'll say it again, if I was Jalen, I'd not only knock him out but cut him from my life. Anyone that shared my info with him is also cut. Can't have that kind of laundry out in the open when I'm trying to convince the nfl that I'm an nfl back.

I'll say this, I think the I form stuff is not used because of Dobbs. jmo on that one. If he has trouble being consistent on slant/post/flag throws, he probably will have a hard time doing that AND taking 3-8 step drops. I don't think it's a lie like 74 is making out to be. I think it's just unrealistic with Dobbs.

edit: I mention the passing aspects of it because you can't just run from it or 9 will sneak up into the box and stuff you every time.

I don't disagree with that either. I think his best move is to get pro fast.

He's good enough to be drafted regardless. Once he's on a team, they'll figure out where he fits best in the league. Getting closer to that second contract is usually a smart move.

This will get lost--- if true, this is just as concerning as anything else about this staff. Rogers Dad confirms they are "good'' this past week and then all of a sudden a no name TE commits and they are on the market again... this staff has more problems than just getting control of the offense and personnel... this is being pitifully handled and recruiting is about to take a nose-dive... folks need to be talking about that as well. Butch better be getting control of things quick or kids with offers from UMass and Holy Cross will be the only ones we can get.

Quitting the team isn't the appropriate response, but I'd be pissed too if my OC called a sweep to the right for no gain and followed it up with a sweep to the left for no gain.

The dip in recruiting last year had me concerned. If the staff could build a winner with top 15ish talent I just wanted to see it and could roll with it. Obviously they can't in the SEC. Things look to be coming apart now. I so wish UT could have things go our way for once.
