He's gotten every yard he has virtually by himself. If at this point, he's decided to save his legs for the NFL, then I don't know that I blame him.

This argument would hold water if Kamara and Kelly didn't look much, much better behind the same OL.

Hell, Kamara was setting records 3 weeks ago behind the same group Hurd has.

Rumor on VQ about Hurd...

"Hurd quit the team after he scored the TD at UGA then later begged to be allowed back on and the players had to vote to allow him back on with the condition that he wouldn't be allowed to travel to TAMU"

What in the world is going on in the locker room?? Is this all we have is a bunch of quitters?

They definitely aren't JJ! I bet that young man doesn't quit on his team! Bunch of cowards, if guys start to quit. Would make sense though...about as soft as they have played all year. Give me some guys that want to be a Vol and want to play hard all day every day!

I actually heard this today playing golf with someone who is a little connected but I thought it to outlandish to be true. Guess I was wrong

If this happens to be true...

Why did we vote him back on? Only reason he wanted back was because probably those advising him told him it would look very bad on his resume when trying to go to the NFL. Butch should have never allowed the players to vote...should have told him see ya! Too many individuals it sounds like in this program...not enough team members!

Need more JJs and Barnetts.

If the rumors are true, then I agree. Can't lose control and have locker room being divided.

Crud!! I thought we were finally past dealing with all of this trash! Don't know about you guys, but it's very very hard to be a Vol fan sometimes!

There are a lot on here with a much higher football IQ than mine, and I could be way off here. But how much of this actually has to do with holes and vision? I'm not sure I see any holes and how can you find them when you are swarmed under 2 yards behind the line of scrimmage. Could it be because Kelly/Kamara are more shifty and can shake those defenders that are already in the backfield and get to the second level? Is it a good system if RB's are consistently asked to make defenders miss in the back field?

I don't want to defend being a bad teammate or quitting but maybe they're tired of being under utilized and tired of bad coaching after all their hard work? There seems to be a pattern here, IMO.
