It's good that our AD is leaving too because that idiot should have laughed in Butch's face when the suggestion of hiring Debord came up. Should have told Butch to stop screwing around and go hire a guy that's actually involved in football... UT's whole AD from the top down is a joke.

Too many "feast or famine fans" on here. It's never as good or bad as it seems. Haven't you realized that yet?

No matter what happens...

We beat Florida and UGA.

Tonight was awful, Bama was expected, A&M was a turnover fest... But by gosh... Florida went down in Neyland

Totally agree...didn't want to read through all the misery...just jumped to the last page.

Cannot believe how quickly "fans" are willing to turn on the team, coaches, etc.

The number of injuries to major players is almost unbelievable. It has definitely changed the complexion of the team.

I can't give up on my Volunteers.

Yay, we beat other horrible teams but lost an inexcusable game. Welcome to Vandy status, you can except that if you want, people who are emotionally invested enough in their team to give a damn obviously haven't given up.

Injuries have taken a toll for sure but there have been problems all year long that aren't explained by injuries.

Coaches deserve everything they get here, this team had two weeks to prepare and showed no fight, looked flat and completely unprepared. That is a coaching issue and they've looked that way most of the year in all honesty.

There appears to be some off the field problems with this team. I don't know this for sure but there is no definite leaders.

You have guys making stupid plays on every kick off or punt return. I want to see leaders chewing their a$$ out before they leave the field.

We have questions about severity of injuries or injuries at all. Think we may have some attitudes.

We look like a bunch of individuals trying to make it to the league and not a TEAM trying to win a championship.

This is exactly how I feel. Said this almost verbatim to my wife during the game. There's no question we have talent and the talent is light years better. But something isn't right with the team. It's like half of them don't care.

I really think there is a big chunk of them that have thought this whole season that "lesser" opponents would just roll over and die rather than play us hard. But despite all the ways they could have learned that lesson before this game they didn't.

Well, I'm not a fire Butch guy at all. But he does need to make some major overhauls this offseason. After watching Dooley flame out, it's clear regardless of your position on Butch that recruiting can tank here in a hurry once the head coach loses control of the narrative. We have plenty of talent coming back next year to make another run (assuming it's healthy). But his window is small and narrowing fast. He has to fix the offense. I have confidence the defense will improve once healthy.

I'm off the boat not leaning off. I'm done with him now. Can't even get a team ready with a bye week. Just sorry as hell for a coach period.

I'd say I'm off the boat too, but I just don't think it's realistic that we see a change before the end of the 2017 or 2018 season.

The extension Hart have Butch might end up having been a worse move than hiring Donnie Tyndall

It's been so long since we even had a shot at the SEC game, but you get the frustration that Georgia fans felt every year with Richt. I wonder if Dobbs doesn't have a concussion. He took some bad hits, and was playing especially horrible last night. I would hope he would speak up, or the coaches pick up on it.

I do think Butch could be a really good coach for us if he was willing to delegate his offense to a good OC and focus on what he's good at: the managerial aspect of being a HC.

He needs to be gone ASAP while the talent is on the team. I'd take Herman here even with what his team has done lately. I still believe he's a rising star as a coach.
