Does anyone recall what Neuheisel said in its entirety and the context in which he said it? Those comments just seemed to come out of left field at the time. The team seemed so close and united last year and that seemed solidified when JRM, Sutton and Kamara all returned for the season.

we lose to Vandy, Ky, Missouri, and South Carolina in one year he can GTFO.

Hell if he loses to 2/4 he can GTFO IMO

KY and vandy are on the same level as SC. Mizzou is on a lower plane. Tonight the team and the coaches performed poorly enough to lose to any of them.

No way Butch gets fired this year.

Even with more losses he isn't going anywhere.

The administration loves him and he can blame everything on the insane amount of injuries. He gets a pass. Like it or not.

Yep. I'm worried we are about to implode, and Butch is going to lose these players. They don't believe what he is selling anymore.

Yes, several former players have said this. I'm concerned that some of the older players might stop playing hard now that making it to ATL or a NY6 bowl seems unlikely. They don't want to risk injury for nothing.

It was the Friday before the Virginia Tech game. CBJ had been on CBS the previous Sat with Neuheisel.

I was listening to the show at the time but paraphrasing what I remember... CBJ is having to deal with issues within the program that no head coach should have to deal with. He then went on to say that CBJ told him this in confidence and he wouldn't say on air what the issues were but that he thought Jones would overcome them and be successful.

More losses and the team quits on him? I'm not so sure. I'd put it less than 5% for sure though.

Can you elaborate LAVol? Former players have said some of the team have quit on Butch already? It sure looks that way.

No, I haven't heard anyone say the players have quit. They want to win. They want to go to ATL. But not all of them feel their talents are being used to best advantage. The injuries have caused some internal friction. It has been a long, hard season, and they're tired, they hurt and some question whether they have been put in the best position to succeed.

Sounds like people with money want him to do better and by want I'm mean well you know

Team Picture coming up this week.

Can't believe we waited for YEARS to be relevant and only find out that we aren't.

Wholesale changes Butch. Staff and Philosophy. Loosen the reigns on the offensive staff and stay out of the way.

Too hard headed.

No one but Clawson could figure out that offense. We were in game 8-9 and players were missing assignments and couldn't figure out where to line up.

Yeah, that was a really poor hire by Fulmer, not because Clawsen's system hadn't been successful, but because it was never going to be a one year install and that's what Fulmer needed. At every stop Clawsen's offense didn't take off until the second or third year. I heard an interview with one of his QBs from Richmond, and apparently he would go to the line every down with 4-5 plays called, and he would pick one depending on the defensive alignment. We were trying to run that with Johnathon Crompton, the same guy that Kiffin/Chaney had to cut the field in half for because he couldn't read a whole defense.
