FF predictably in full meltdown mode.
I'm not happy about the game, but I think I have decent perspective on it considering the injuries. Those dudes have turned on Jones, DeBord, Shoop, Hurd, Dobbs, and anyone else in orange they can target.
Of course. Legion of the Miserables.
Poor DeBord puts up 1,600 yards and 100 plus points in three weeks and then everyone wants him fired after playing the #1 team with a backup offensive line
I'm not a fan of the offense. Maybe it's the personnel, maybe it's the coaches, but it just frustrates the hell out of me. One second we look like the greatest show on turf, the next it's three runs up the gut for three series in a row. I don't know what to attribute that to. I want to say coaching. I realize Jones is the lynchpin in that, so changing our DeBord is probably not the answer.
Either way, I'm not passing final judgement after a game like today. Not much you can take away outside of the injuries.
It's the offensive line. When they are at minimum average we move the ball up and down the field. When they are injured or suck we aren't good.
I wouldn't mind seeing Mahoney canned
I get that but I swear there are lapses in playcalling when we just fall into total conservation mode. It seems like it happens almost every game, regardless of how well or poorly we're doing.
Maybe it's just me. Maybe I'll love it with J. Gitmo at the helm and some dynamic running backs in the backfield behind an experienced O-line. But I do feel like DeBord isn't the best playcaller, even in this offense.
So I guess that's my question. Could we benefit from a "better" OC, even if he's still running Jones' offense? Or is DeBord getting everything he can or that Jones wants out of it?
