Atlanta Braves Thread (I HURT MYSELF TODAY TO SEE IF I STILL FEEL)

Tennessee plays Alabama today. I am from Tennessee. My father is from Alabama. We will watch the game together. It's a natural tradition. Never forced. Likely the last time I watch it with him. He's not well.

It's just a silly game.

But we all care. It's important.

Perhaps it represents time together. The outcome of the game doesn't change life or alter a destiny. It's a privilege to experience. It is the stars aligning. No war. No tragedy. No despair. No loss of liberty. It's a game, but it represents an important perspective of peace and life.

Find your loved ones and create a tradition around this game. Be human. Everyone wins.

Tennessee vs. Alabama. For my dad.

When did underscore become a human being?

I always just assumed he was a troll bot or something.

(just kidding bud, excellent post and great perspective. My mom's whole family is from Alabama and she loves the Tide but watches my son all the time and dresses him in Vol gear every opportunity she gets just so she can send me a picture of it. I hate that team with every fiber of my being and yet there are multiple people I love who root for them like I root for UT)

Fortunately I don't have this problem. This is straight up Good vs Evil as far as I'm concerned.

I do have a first cousin once removed who's a Bammer, but holy damn she is a huge b**** in every aspect of her life. I always figured that wasn't a coincidence.

My concern is at LB more than anything. Just not sure we have the speed to stop them.

I think we can win but it's going to have to be a nearly perfect game.

Bama has big bodies up front that struggle with these wide open, perimeter attacking offenses. It's why we ran really well against them last year, and it's why we will run well this year. Their secondary is suspect. We are going to score.

A freshman quarterback is going to have to out duel us in neyland stadium. I like our hand. It's not aces, but it's real nice.

Edit: The D line feasted last year. It'll be more of he same now. Guess who sucks under pressure? Jalen Hurts. We have no reason to be scared of this game. We've got a hell of a team.

Are we gonna stop turning the ball over half a dozen times a game? Are our 4th and 5th string LBs going to slow down their offense?

I agree that we can score but I don't know that we can score enough if we continue to make mistakes and they get to pick on our backups backups.

I actually sort of like Elliott in containing hurts running... But not in terms of dealing with a downhill run game.
