The last three games? No. We've moved the ball in all three first halves. I'm not saying let's carry him off the field on everybody's shoulders but at the same time I'm not sure what the hell the coaching staff is supposed to do different. For example, last week Kamara fumbles on the first play in UGA territory and Hurd fumbles at the 1 not paying attention. If that doesn't happens, it's probably tied or UT lead. In the TAMU game, Kamara fumbles inside the 10 and Dobbs makes a bad play and loses the ball inside our own 20, along with Evan Berry fumbling on a horrible non call of targeting on a kickoff. What is the coaching staff supposed to do different?
Well for one thing it would be nice if they started playing defense before getting in a two- or three-TD hole, but maybe that's too much to ask.
The offense has indeed looked better since Chance Hall walked back through that door, but it sure seems like they go through long periods suffering from a lack of focus. Turnovers, penalties, miscommunications, drops....I guess you can blame any individual mistake you want on the players but at some point focus and organization has to come from the top. This offense feels way more like a loose collection of talented players making plays than it does any kind of an organized system.
Hmmm. Have to wonder if they team a tox screen during the course of his eval Saturday?
My first thought too, but surely there's some sort of legal HIPAA firewall between the doctors he'd be seeing after his injury and the athletic department? Surely?
Maybe someone else had to pack his locker up on Saturday and found something incriminating in his street pants pockets.
