2016 Election Thread Part Deux

Again, for the tenth time, the issue is not willingly paying more than expected; the issue is paying at all.

I don't understand what is so difficult to grasp about this concept.

I just have to remind myself that I'm attempting a rational dialogue with Trump voters. It's the only thing that helps make sense out of this.

He's payed payroll and ss and other taxes you fool..you're the one who can't grasp the reality of the situation.

That's a terrible analogy; especially in light of the fact that you know the man pays an ungodly amount of property, sales, local and other taxes.

I don't know what he pays or doesn't.

He's the least transparent candidate we've perhaps ever had, and we hardly know anything about him of any real substance.

Whatever he is, he is something that has deemed it better to not release any of his tax returns than to possibly lose the presidency.

That's without precedent in the last half century of American politics.

Clinton pays her income taxes; Donald doesn't. And now you're having a hissy fit.

Very sad. Sad. Very sad, folks. I mean, it's really sad.

Negative. Again, that's Obama. Continuing to perpetrate this lie of yours doesn't make it any more true.

We all know Obama has never had Americas best interests in mind. Clinton clearly doesn't either. Trump may or may not be with them as well.

Again, for the eleventh time, this is not the point. Whether it's legal or not, is not the point. It's the fact that he's a hypocrite. And we subsidize his failed business ventures.

You're a cultist, so it doesn't process with you. But, for many rational Americans, it does. Sadly, I'm just not sure there's enough of us left anymore.

You don't get to be the judge and jury. It's really none of your business - or mine. If Trump hasn't played by the tax rules, this administration which has been in business for nearly eight years would have seen to it that he wouldn't be in the running. The Clintons and Obama will use the IRS as a punitive device if and when they feel like it.

So, I've been watching this debate about Trump's taxes. Not surprising, the ignorance is thick in the Trump hating and lefty crowd. What some don't understand is we have an "income" tax. If you have no income or have significant losses carrying forward, you may owe nothing or very little. No one is required to pay a tax on losses. How would such an income tax be calculated? A stupid position on its face because there is no wherewithal to pay a tax from a loss position. A loss means there has been an economic outlay of some sort, usually in cash. Corporate (depending when they occurred) losses are carried back and forward until there is income to absorb the loss. There are limits. It is not a "loophole" or device to pay less. A tax return, involving losses, is only an annual reconciliation of longer term business activity. More than a choice or planning, this is largely and operation of law.

Trump is done. His campaign just canceled $140 million in battleground state ad buys, the voter registration news in Flordia is really bad for him. The Dems registered 488,000 while the GOP only registered 60,000. He has zero ground game there. Trump has failed in every aspect to the match Clinton ground organization. In the new Quinnipiac national poll, whites by education: have college degree, +4 Clinton; do not have college degree, +30 Trump. Clinton now has a 58-28% lead over Hispanics in Florida. That's a 30 gap which beats Obama's 21 point lead. In the new Quinnipiac national poll

(change from last):
Clinton 45 (+1)
Trump 40 (-3)
Johnson 6 (-2)

Hillary leads among independents by 14(!), 46-32 and Hillary now leads in Ohio 44-43%. This was All data that came out before Trump made the comments on the Central Park 5 stating that even though DNA evidence cleared them of the crime, he still believes they are guilty and after an audio recording of Trump was released, where Trump in 2005 said "When you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab ‘em by the pu$$y" Expect all of this to come up at the debate Sunday. As Josh Gordon said "The debate Sunday isn't about whether or not Trump can win the election, but if Republicans will stay with him at his deathbed on election day."

She wins, and you will come off as reserves to active duty for a war with Russia.

Well with Russia basing SS-26 short range ballistic missiles in Kaliningrad and attempting to open bases in Cuba and Vietnam that may happen anyway. Looks like we have ourselves a new Cold War.

Do we thank bush or obama for this one?

If Russia would just let us kill Assad and let ISIS take control then we'd be cool. Don't know why they have such an issue with that

Meanwhile... Proof Hillary is -again- breaking actual laws by colluding w Super PACs

As well as funding Iran terrorism

Yet these things are unimportant...

How to know if you're a socialist:

Do you intend to vote for a man who wants to seize private property from US citizens in order to build a massive wall paid for by tax payers in order to limit the free market so that we can protect the welfare state?

If you answered yes, congrats! You're a socialist!

Then the majority of his voters are complete dumbasses. Outside of building a wall, what stance of his can anyone even name? Much less support
