Awesome. I wanted to start a thread about this and I want to bring up some great points.

1. After watching Hurd in this game, if anyone can ever question this guys pure talent then you really do not know what talent is. His run in the 4th quarter was amazing.

2. Jennings is a man. Dude is straight up beast mode. Great hands and he seems to have that killer instinct. Same with Malone. He is turning into a true gamebreaker that every defense will have to respect.

3. Dobbs. What else can be said. He had a Heisman like second half against UF. I know he has no chance, I am just saying he played his heart out and left everything he had on the field. Actually, when was the last time a Tennessee QB had those kind of stats against a Florida team? His passing seems to be improving. Yes he made mistakes, but I do think he is getting better.

4. The OL impressed me. Hopefully we have settled in with the starters and they continue to gel.

5. That defense. Whoa. I will say this, our defense can turn it on in a heartbeat. Hopefully they will continue bringing the heat for entire games and if everything continues to click like it did in the second half of the UF game, Tennessee is going to be a tough game for anybody.

Go Big Orange!

Dobbs played equally well in the first half. He was on the money the whole game.

Did anybody notice rhe couple of early shots of Sherion Jones chirping at his teammates? If he stays at UT he will end up being a team captain even if he never plays a down. Kid has no problem getting after people.

Man, these two shows remind me and make me miss the old NFL Films shows with Steve Sabol. I liked watching those as a kid. The music and footage was great. 60's and 70's Vikings or Giants footage. Whatever, it was great.

Yes.. Those films were awesome. A long spiral pass in slow motion where you can see the seams on the ball and the crowd behind as it slowly drifts into a receivers arms, all the while, a deep voiced, well spoken narrator added to the drama. They mastered and dang near patented that zoomed in shot of the ball. SEC network taking a page out of that playbook..

However...

I saw "Inside Florida" on their game against Kentucky. The announcer had that tone of the old NFL films, and it sounded like he was calling a close Superbowl. Trying their best to add drama to a crappy game with two crappy teams.

They had a lot more to work with last weekend in Neyland. I'll bet it's good.

DVR'd it and watched it tonight. Incredible.

I did catch 2 mess-ups by the narrator though. Did anyone else catch them?

I caught 1 I think. He said something about Josh not being successful in his first 2 games against Florida - The catch is that 2015 was the first game Josh ever played in against the Gators. He didn't play at all in 2014. So 2016 was only the 2nd time he went against them.

I didn't catch it. Had no idea the segment was airing and I didn't leave work until 10. Anyone have a link or another air time?

According to SEC Network Channel guide its showing to air at 9AM this morning, followed by Inside the Film Room Tennessee Edition at 930AM...I guess I'll just DVR both.

Yup. That was one of them.

The other one was the narrator saying 25 points separated Tennessee from an undefeated season last year. That's not true, we lost our 4 games last year by a combined 17 points.

He's getting the "25" from Butch's preseason slogan that our last 5 losses (4 in 2015 and 1 in 2014) were by 25 points. That makes no sense to me. 4 losses by 17 points in 2015 sounds much more impactful and doesn't require reaching all the way back to 2014.

The 25 points is from 2015 only. 17 points = 4 tie games rather that 4 losses. It takes 25 points to win those games if you consider the scores of each and how many points given the scores would be needed.

- For Florida, we lost by 1, thus needed a field goal = 3 points.
- For Arkansas, we lost by 4, thus needed a touchdown = 7 points.
- For Oklahoma we lost by 7, thus needed a touchdown and 2 point conversion = 8 points
- For Alabama, we lost by 5, thus needed a touchdown = 7 points.

3 + 7 + 7 + 8 = 25 points
