Trump supporters don't like being called deplorable yet they continue to do deplorable things.
An angry Trump supporter left a message for McMullins Indian-American spokeswoman calling her a frothing, libtard piece of **** Islamic dog, among other things.

"You frothing, libtard piece of **** Islamic dog," the caller, identified only as "Alan," is heard saying in the ad, while a transcript of his rant runs along the bottom of the screen. "Vote for the pathological lying criminal you ****ing piece of **** ... and get out of our country ... while you're at it, got back and get ****ed by your dirtbag Islamic terror scum friends. Slut."

Why would a successful legitimately filthy-rich billionaire need to pay fines from a foundation? Is he that crooked or was/is he hard up for money?
Both.
Donald Trump is the kind of idiot that makes a yuge casino - which is basically just a hole in the ground that people throw droves of cash into - in Atlantic City, no less, go under.
He's the kind of idiot that can't even budget a D.C. national campaign office appropriately.
The kind of idiot that pockets campaign money for his Patrick Bateman spawn.
Kind of idiot that steals money from his own charity in order to defend him from rightful accusations that he is a complete piece of trash.
That's the kind of idiot he is, and roughly half of American voters right now think he's an economic expert.
In a simpiltons view what he said would be wrong. But in reality he wasn't talking about Jim Crow or slavery or anything along those lines, he's talking about the state of black communities. I would venture to guess that during Jim Crow days black communities were safer than they are today.

Has he broken any laws?
He didn't make his Atlantic City casinos go under. That happened to pretty much all of them. Competition and the erosion of Atlantic City into a hell hole was all it took.
He was successful there when it was possible to be successful there. He failed when it was near impossible not to.
I wonder how many black people would agree that their lot in life was better during the Jim Crow era. They probably were safer from random violence, but that of course came at the cost of being treated as second-class citizens. I guess in Trump's dangerously warped worldview that could classify as "better". He's all too willing to sell liberty down the river for security, so I guess he assumes everyone else is as well.
Even if we're talking about safety, he's just flat out wrong. NYC in Trump's heyday (late 60s-early 90s) was many times more dangerous than it is today, and that generally was the trend throughout all urban areas during that time period. I'm actually kind of shocked so many people believe cities are more dangerous than ever when the stats show otherwise - especially when they argue the exact opposite (homicide rates are down, so no reason for gun control) when it comes to gun laws. There's no consistency.
Who knows what his case really is. He's the least transparent candidate in history, and we know very little of significance about him. Some even say he actually inherited 200 million from his father. Who knows.
Some would even say that the whether or not he failed a casino in a time of troubles is still not a good plug for a President Trump who promises to give us success in a time of troubles.

Careful using crime statistics from before 1994 or 95, somewhere around that time is when the way violent crime is counted was changed.
But back on point, even during Jim Crow days black communities weren't the cesspool of dilapidated houses, gangs and drugs. Even then most black households were two parent households. I don't think his comments were a comparison of civil rights by era, it was more of a comparison of general living conditions.

Interesting. I was aware of the change in the way crimes were counted, but not that it was universal or occurred right as crime rates started to drop. I can't say I was alive for most of that period, but I've always sensed that the national perception was of cities in general being extremely dangerous places during that era.
We all know that years of Democrat rule hasn't done much for the black community. However, when he speaks in absolutes like that it's completely counter-productive. I would probably agree that families tended to be more stable, but their future prospects were blunted. It's just that the wars on poverty and drugs have ravaged the black community, and Trump offers no real solutions beyond bringing manufacturing jobs back (and that is nowhere close to a universal cure-all).
The same guy that set a primary voting record is also setting records for least amount of money spent on a presidential campaign.
Sounds like he's doing okay.
Yes.
