Lady Vols Recruiting Info

I don't think Jade is considering the Huskies.

Connecticut is waiting for Megan Walker. If she commits to ND instead then I think they hold tight at 3 commits for this class. If Walker goes to ND, they'll be gunning hard for Christyn Williams next year.

I think Christyn Williams is going to UCONN regardless.

I must say I'm impressed on how Dawn Staley has totally turned around the SC Women's basketball program. She is now recruiting nationally after she had a few elite recruits right in the backyard that help turn around the program. I remember Kara Lawson did an Interview saying they use to fly in the day before to play SC. From the attendance to getting good players and not being arrogant or disrespectful, I applaud Dawn Staley. Also I think the battle for KK is between Tennessee and UGA.

Thanks for the kind words. Dawn has put in A LOT of work to get SC to where the program is today. She's finally starting to reap the rewards for that so I'm happy for her.. Most importantly is that she's having fun and she's happy here.

I think ya'll will bring in a top 10 class this year. You have ample playing time to offer and you're still in the running with A LOT of elite recruits.. that's a great position to be in.

Appreciate the kind words Vol720 :hi:

I know you all are pursuing KK, Dodson, Westbrook, Patterson, Harrison, Evans, Hayes & McKinney.

I believe you'll land at least 4 of these players (if not more). The best of luck! :good!:

Like it has been previously mentioned, I think KK chooses between UGA and Tenn. Dodson would be a HUGE get. I've said for the longest that Evans is Tennessee's to lose. Seems like Westbrook enjoyed her UT visit a lot, I'm having trouble reading her.

Seems for the last few years we have been on many of the top player's lists, but never seem to close the deal. My hopes are this changes this year. If not there are some serious issues and questions that need to be examined and answered. We cannot become relevant in the national championship conversation if we can no longer recruit the nation's top players.

PESSIMIST: 12 recruits schedule a visit! 2 of the twelve decide NOT to visit (17%) going somewhere else???

Four visit on 9/17 and leave with no commitment! That is 6 of the 12 scheduled visits that have not committed!!! That is (50%) gone without a verbal????:thud:

I hope this is not a repeat of 2016!

CARA URSIN: I know that we are not recruiting anymore!!! But her recruit lists:

Baylor (Deauzya Richards & Alexis Morris)
Texas (Chasity Patterson)
South Carolina (2016 Tyasha Harris and Aiaion Bradshaw)
Tennessee (___0____)

ranked at #64 would be an easy get???:clapping:

i am somewhat nervous especially when i start seeing more and more players committing elsewhere. i'm anxious to know how the visit went for the four recruits that visited this weekend.

Notre dame considering:

Megan Walker
Evina WEstbrook
Maya Dodson
Jade Williams
Danielle Patterson

All are scheduled to visit UT with the decision of Walker affecting all the rest. If Walker goes to Uconn look out as the rest could go to Notre Dame and leave us with _________ (like the maidens catching the flowers at the wedding):thud:

Hopefully Evans will be making her decision in the next couple of days since she has completed all of her official visits

I keep hearing we are in good shape to land some recruits . but i hear worry now

I am not worried unless we continue to wait on the top recruits and neglecting recruits who we can easily get that are in the top 100! As someone stated with Morris selecting Baylor and SC getting Harris last year we are putting our eggs in Hayes and Evans (who I would really like) when Ursin is available if we really want her but to my knowledge we have stopped recruiting her Louisville is load at the 1 and 2 spot and Purdue is no where near the program we are so it should be a no brainer for Evans but many think she will pick Louisville

We have to shoot for the top kids not the top 100 kids. We don't coach well enough to develop lesser talent into good players.

Has Ursin recently released a list of top schools?

If people go back to page #200 and start there, all of your questions will be answered!
At this point, we have lost only 1 recruit this year. All of our current recruits have not committed except one, L. Williams. That is it. In around pages 220# and current, you will find a list of dates players are coming to visit us this fall.

Let me rephrase...I think people will be happy soon. Whether that's this week, next week, tomorrow, or November.

The coaches know what they are doing...and what they are up against in terms of what is being said about them and Tennessee.
