What is it about Tennessee Seniors?

Peyton didn't get it done.
Tee couldn't follow up his senior year.
Clausen choked his senior year.
Ainge's two INT's in the Ga Dome.
Lofton choking away free throws vs Arky and not showing up for Tournament.
Even Monica Abbot last season fell short.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

You do realize that nearly every school has seniors on a team almost every year, right? It is inevitable that the vast majority of senior seasons as a whole are disappointing. Someone has to lose for someone to win. This is not a Tennessee thing. This is a reality of sports that is undeniable.

EDIT: Thought I'd add, Tennessee has had a lot of seniors that went out on top, too. Al Wilson et. al, for one. Many lady vols as well. CJ Watson got to win the SEC East, a year removed from a 14-17 season.

a little premature on lofton don't you think. Why don't you wait until they lose to blame it on him. Make sure he is the reason they lost and he doesn't score 30 in a losing effort. The bottom line is to think positive. I did not know that any of the seniors you were speaking of played individual sports. They are all team sports.

Blame it on the fans or the coach or somebody worthwhile but what ever you do take the negative side of it because that is what true fans do. (Pinpoint blame. sarcism for a dumba@@)

Whoa, I'm not trying to start a firestorm. I seriously just have a question about it.

Most schools seniors step up and it appears as though Tennessee seniors don't so much.

I'm not attacking these players personally or even bashing them for their performances, but the facts are there. They didn't step up like we see seniors from other schools do.

If this is going to turn into a fight just delete it. I wanted actual conversation, not attacks.

It is a statistical reality that most seniors do not "step up" to the level you are holding our seniors to. There are hundreds of teams. They almost all have seniors. They all can't win championships.

Dont go after amateur athletes. Go after me. Im a man. Im 30. Your post is garbage. Maybe one day you will have a senior and then you will understand.

The Seniors are who we thought they were...and we let em off the hook. If yall wanna crown they azz then crown em...but we let em off the hook.

Obviously some people are too thin-skined to have respectable discussion. My bad. Now I know. Pretty shortsighted to say I'm not a fan because I ask a question.

I understand the arguement that every school has seniors, but not seniors like the ones I mentioned. Obviously Peyton is special, Tee won a NC, Lofton is a very special player, Abbott was player of the year in her sport and even Clausen and Ainge are very high on UT record books.

The David's at UGA got it done.
Leak got it done. So did the Florida B-ball players.

Again, no offense meant. I'm telling you I didn't mean offense, and I'm telling you I am indeed a HUGE Vol fan. Why not believe me? I haven't been here long, but I also haven't done anything to prove otherwise. How about not passing judgement on me simply because you disagree with my question?

I don't think she ever graduated....

but I'm more inclined to wonder why he has a butterface as his sig. He could have chosen someone like Elisha Cuthbert. :yes:

The Florida B-ball players that "got it done" weren't seniors. Florida had a lot of seniors that didn't get it done in previous years to Leak's senior year.

David Green never won a national championship.

I'm almost certain she graduated. Even shocked the world with her writing ability and wrote for SI
