I never thought Howland would do this good recruiting there so you're right, they should have. I know Howland hasn't actually won yet at Miss. State but his third year should be primed for NCAA Tournament run. I thought it was smart because he has so many freshman and 1st year transfer's to do his August overseas trip to get them experience playing together and get a jump start on rotation, system install with the 10 full practices you get before trip. When Barnes was asked by the media this spring since the Vols are eligible if he would go on trip, he said probably not but if we decide to go, then we will go to Canada. That to me shows his lack of fire. Why not get these 10 freshman/sophomore's playing together and installing his system? He would have had 13 full practices and four games to play.
pretty much says it , doesn't it?

I definitely expected it to be better than it is...but I will say Mississppi State hasn't been in the NCAA's crosshairs so I would venture to guess that Howland didn't receive the same handcuffing Barnes' did.

Probably. RB has some good players, a few may end up 1st team SEC. I just figured the 4 stars, and a couple of 5 stars, would be beating the door down to play for RB.

When I stoop so low as to create a fake GF and post pictures of her on a message board without her knowledge THEN I'll have "no class whatsoever".

Haha. She knew about the pictures. I asked her about them. She said it was fine. Like I've said before, it was a misunderstanding and it's all fine. I get it, you have pictures of Barnes that you stroke at night. You even said that you wouldn't back the coach after Martin. That sir, is no class. Like him or not, Tyndall was a Vol. I've always supported every coach ut has ever had. Like them or not. (Except Dooley, he ruined my young love for Vol football.)

Howland is kicking ass, no doubt we should've hired him instead of the cheating fat boy Tyndall...in fact, I pushed for him multiple times!
Donnie Tyndall is upstanding Christian man who was crucified by you centurions. Both he and Steve Forbes can recruit circles around Rick Barnes. You guys got what you deserved. Seems like that happened elsewhere to me.

Ignoring the 3 sites posted proving you wrong about Forbes. Typical.

And upstanding Christian man who's had NCAA issues at 2 of his 3 jobs and obviously has a problem with telling the truth; and I would suspect other Christians might just be a tad offended at your having the nerve to compare him to Jesus Christ.

That Christian character really showed on the floor when he was four letter wording Armani and others.
Great moral character. What an example to our youth.
If ya don't want to do the books, it's taken care of.

Wrong! Donnie and I wear spandex and worship Bastet, the Egyptian cat god. Every. Sunday. Night.

If I remember correctly Howland has a few problems playing by the rules as well. I think I'll just enjoy CRB whilst he's our coach....my aching back!!

The UT in the NCAA crosshairs is a dog that wont hunt. We are in no way under NCAA scrutiny so we have to have another reason for our recruiting difficulties. I hope its not because we aren't working that hard but I thought Jerry Meyer statement about us a couple of months ago was telling.

I think we should see how the season goes before we run off the coach. If they win enough games to get into the NIT then I will be satisfied for this year. Then next year they need to go to the NCAA Tourny. If not, it will be time to make a change.

MSU has also been lucky to have some legacies/in states. Kinda like UT football in 2013 (I think). Not gonna happen so much. That said, he's kicked butt anyway, but other factors as well.

Dave Hart told Rick Barnes no shady business or recruiting gray areas at this point in time, that is handcuffing.

I don't understand why RB won't take the players on an overseas trip for experience/team building. It could let the freshman learn and develop chemistry while determining the rotation.

If we are eligible then why not? We have the resources, it's a head scratcher.
