That's a very narrow viewpoint. One can have concerns or objections about aspects of this country and not be a low life. If not, what is the point of freedom of speech?
Just because a group of people think a way that you don't doesn't make them bad.
I have concerns about the country and do not have a problem with someone doing so. To stand out like some spoiled brat making some statement that does nothing makes you look like the fool that you are.
To spend $70 or whatever for this fool's Jersey makes you look as foolish as him. Educated people by and large, don't do that. More likely thugs.

I am done with the 49ers... I have been in recent years pulling for them, it really started because I was a fan of Patrick Willis, a Tennessee boy who did good for himself, and whom I followed a bit, very proud of who he became. However this BS, has pretty much made the team dead to me. As the movement grows, the NFL is dead to me until I see a team stand up against it together, if one did I'd root for them no matter who they were. If you think this is an acceptable form of protest. You're pretty much dead to me too. GTFO of my land.
The problem is people don't seem to have a clue what the song is about. Our anthem isn't celebrating our government, or the corrupt leaders who have ran it. Now I realize your average American particularly among the 30's and below has about two brain cells left, and ones usually mugging the other. So let me explain. THIS song is about the attack on Baltimore during the Revolutionary war. Without which winning they and you would not live in a nation that allowed such protest in the first place. Nor would most of the nations elsewhere that allow such protest exist without this nations help. That night the flag stayed up under constant navel bombardment by the British, by one of the largest fleets assembled under the British Empire. It did not stay up except that men kept running up to prop it up as it was being targeted. They died, and soon literally it was propped up by their bodies, and more ran up when they fell. It is a song about that ultimate sacrifice. No veteran checks wether they are going to sacrifice tehir lives for white Americans, Black Americans, Asian Americans, Inbred Americans etc...so check yo brainwashing at the doh!
You don't like the government? Fine protest it. You don't like a politician? Let everyone know what a expletive they are! You hate a policy!? Make it known. You have a moral objection to pledging yourself to a flag? I don't even have a problem with that. I happen to know how the pledge started, and likely more then a few of the people who started this country would have a problem to. However this song is not about ANY of those things. This song is about the men and women who have sacrificed their lives, never to see their families again, and little children never to see their parents again, so yo punk candy azz can live in peace. I don't give a dang who you are what kind of athlete you are, or how big a boy you think you are. Unless you have in fact served in wartime, chances are you'd wet yourself if you ever went through a tenth of what many Veterans have. I'd like to see you kissing dirt when mortars start raining. I got no time for your nonsense, or your self righteous "justice" crap when you have yet to even put your non callused toes on 3rd world soil, and see what the real world is like. To any who do this or even support them doing this, you both are a bunch of two bit punks, who are sorry as hell. Bunch of spoiled brats graced to live by the blood of others.
Anyway that's my two cents. A lot of people need to get the F out of this country if only for a few years, and I don't mean go to Canada, or Europe or Japan or some other basically Americanized nation, who exist also because of American veterans. No, get your butts to Africa, or backwoods Latin America, or interior Asia or somewhere where it's REAL. Somewhere beyond wifi, the internet, and where counting calories is about making sure you have enough to survive the day. Bunch of ungrateful, little children.
Also as to the HS copy cat kids....pathetic, but ya know kids are kids and brainwashed rug rats that they are, I don't hold them as accountable as their coaches. The coaches should bench them.....period. And forfeit if necessary. If it meant getting fired no way in hades would I let such a brat sully the field after such a classless act of disrespect. I don't care if the coach themselves stands at attention, they allow that and I got no respect. People have risked much more then their paycheck sol you can be petulant little crybabies.
Lastly if you think you are Tennessee Volunteer fan and you support that. take the orange off and please never wear it again. This is the TN VOLS.....Vols isn't a bluetick hound, it isn't some stupid mascot. We literally have chosen Veterans as our symbol.....If you do not respect what that anthem means to those who served, you don't understand what it means to be a Volunteer....
You are the epitome of pathetic. If someone doesn't agree with you or does something to your dislike, they are dead to you or should get off "your" land. The thing is you are the issue and the problem. You rely on your Constitutional rights only when it serves your best interest. You GTFOH!! You don't belong in America, you belong somewhere secluded from all rational human beings. P.S. your song is about killing slaves who wanted to be free from your oppressive state.
What part of the SSB is about killing slaves? I'm seriously curious as I have never seen that before. You are the epitome of pathetic. No refuge could save the hireling and slave
From the terror of flight or the gloom of the grave

No, I am all for disagreement, freedom of expression, or a lively debate. However there is a price to be paid when you disrespect that which gave you that freedom in the first place. The consumer can with hold their wallet and support, and so yes they are dead to me, much like your opinion when you tried to shovel your brainwashed drivel that the Star Spangled banner represents slavery or killing slaves. I am very sorry your generation was brain washed and no one tried hard enough to stop it. However, I have a feeling history is about to provide all the corrective education needed. We are not likely to last much longer peacefully as a nation when so many have taken for granted what was freely given to them. I am ashamed for you and anyone else who is so misguided they think this nation represents slavery, when this nation more then any other in history extended freedom unlike the world has previously ever known. Easy come easy go; you will only see it when you have lost it.

So, it seems that some want to redefine what exactly is freedom of speech. I guess that it would be nice to fit it to your needs. But..........ya can't do that.
It's a business and they are at work. I try any political stunts while at my work I'm canned. The owners can't make them stop but some heavy fines could!
So, people expressing and embracing freedom of speech should be fined? It's really sad if any business suppresses freedoms of any kind that are guaranteed by the Constitution. The Federal Courts might frown on that.

That's the rub though. It's your interpretation that what he is doing, is doing nothing. I argue that it's certainly brought some attention to the matters which he is protesting.
I know what he is doing has certainly made a strong, positive impression upon me.
I never knew I was a thug.
