You ever go full Rambo on your bed sheets? Good times.
I married my wife a couple of years after I got out. At first she was all sweet about it and was comforting. Now I get kicked and told to rub some dirty on it. She's at least smart enough to do it from a distance though. Just curious when did you guys serve? My first wife (passed away a few years ago) pretty much grew up in the Marine Corps with me, so she knew what to expect when I got home. My wife now was in diapers when I went into the Marine Corps. About 4 years ago, out of the blue, I had an episode in the middle of the night that scared her so bad she almost took the baby (now 5) and left.
To this day I don't even know what I did, and she won't talk about it, to tell me. As far as I know though, I haven't had one since then. If I have, she hasn't said anything.

Still serving. Contrary to people calling me an old timer, I've been in for a little over 15 years. I'm just a crusty senior NCO. Had my fair share over time playing in the sandbox. Was active for a while now I am a weekend warrior. Got tired of missing out on everything with my kids. I do defense contracting on the civilian side as an ops guy for the Guard CIED program. Still get to work with Soldiers on a daily basis.
Retired in 2003. My oldest son joined in 2004. He was medically discharged (with pretty ribbons) in 2013.
I'm thinking I'll talk my two little ones out of it if they want to join. My family has done enough.
Am I the only one who gets a kick out of Tony Balogna? The guy is either for real and just wants to help and is unintentionally hilarious or he has created a great troll gimmick where he actually brings info but does it in a way that annoys half the board to death.
Hey. I haven't been nice to Tony in a minute. And when I was nice it was an accident. Jerkface.

He in the Corps? I only have one daughter and I hope she doesnt have her farthers decision making skills.
I joined in 2002, then my brother joined in 2005. Some how we ended up in the same unit and deployed together in 2006. It was my 3rd and his 1st. I don't think my mother slept at all the 9 months we were gone. We felt like we did our part and hung it up.
Yes. He followed dads in dads footsteps (his own choice) and joined the Corps.
My younger brother was in the Navy at the same time I was in the Marines. My father was Army (Big Red One).
My family has served in every war in American history since the French and Indian War (before we were even a country). On both sides in the Civil War too. We've been here a long time.
Same here. The family has been here since 1626. All lived in Marblehead, MA until my great-grandfather. Heck, one distant cousin was the second most decorated Soldier of WWII, MSG Llewellyn M. Chilson.
Had a deployment with 1ID, myself. It's the combat patch I wear.
