Am I the only one who gets a kick out of Tony Balogna? The guy is either for real and just wants to help and is unintentionally hilarious or he has created a great troll gimmick where he actually brings info but does it in a way that annoys half the board to death.

You ever go full Rambo on your bed sheets? Good times.

My first wife (passed away a few years ago) pretty much grew up in the Marine Corps with me, so she knew what to expect when I got home. My wife now was in diapers when I went into the Marine Corps. About 4 years ago, out of the blue, I had an episode in the middle of the night that scared her so bad she almost took the baby (now 5) and left.

To this day I don't even know what I did, and she won't talk about it, to tell me. As far as I know though, I haven't had one since then. If I have, she hasn't said anything.

I married my wife a couple of years after I got out. At first she was all sweet about it and was comforting. Now I get kicked and told to rub some dirty on it. She's at least smart enough to do it from a distance though. Just curious when did you guys serve?

Still serving. Contrary to people calling me an old timer, I've been in for a little over 15 years. I'm just a crusty senior NCO. Had my fair share over time playing in the sandbox. Was active for a while now I am a weekend warrior. Got tired of missing out on everything with my kids. I do defense contracting on the civilian side as an ops guy for the Guard CIED program. Still get to work with Soldiers on a daily basis.

I was in 2002-2006. Got handed a few purple ribbons and decided it was time to call it quits. Now I just spend my time attacking TonyB on Volnation.

Retired in 2003. My oldest son joined in 2004. He was medically discharged (with pretty ribbons) in 2013.

I'm thinking I'll talk my two little ones out of it if they want to join. My family has done enough.

He in the Corps? I only have one daughter and I hope she doesnt have her farthers decision making skills.

I joined in 2002, then my brother joined in 2005. Some how we ended up in the same unit and deployed together in 2006. It was my 3rd and his 1st. I don't think my mother slept at all the 9 months we were gone. We felt like we did our part and hung it up.

In the words of so many others...

Yes.

Hey. I haven't been nice to Tony in a minute. And when I was nice it was an accident. Jerkface.

All you guys were way too nice to that phony baloney fake. He would post semi sensible or polite things, and you guys would buy it. I tried to tell you he had already pissed off the entire NBA forum during the playoffs fir the exact same reason.

I see two other idiots liked this. Wish we could send all of you to troll island with phony, crunch and D4H. See how long you get a kick out of those dumbbutts then.

Yes. He followed dads in dads footsteps (his own choice) and joined the Corps.

My younger brother was in the Navy at the same time I was in the Marines. My father was Army (Big Red One).

My family has served in every war in American history since the French and Indian War (before we were even a country). On both sides in the Civil War too. We've been here a long time.

Same here. The family has been here since 1626. All lived in Marblehead, MA until my great-grandfather. Heck, one distant cousin was the second most decorated Soldier of WWII, MSG Llewellyn M. Chilson.

Had a deployment with 1ID, myself. It's the combat patch I wear.

Dad always talked fondly of 1ID. Really liked Fort Riley. It was before my time, but he still talked about it to me when I was young. Hated Fort Leonardwood. Called it the armpit of the country...lol. Might be why he liked Fort Riley so much though. He Saw Fort LW first.

If he was an East Coast Marine then we were probably on Lejeune together. I was 3/2 Betio Bastards. My father was an Army tanker during Desert Storm. Thank yall for your service. Hoorah! And hooyah or whatever it is yall say in the Army.
