1. Oline. This is basically the same group from last year, so I'm hoping they had an off day against a quicker/undersized opponent. Rewatching the game, app st knew when the play was going before the snap and were beating our guys to spots.

2. I hope butch/debord are happy with themselves. I have no rational explanation for that game plan and the failure to change it and start trying a little harder.

This is not the same oline as last year. Hall and Kerbyson are missing. This line is a work in progress. Thomas was banged up prior to game and hopefully the extra days will help him heal up. Losing Hall was/is big. Hopefully we can see a big improvement this week.

I agree on game plan. You have to let Dobbs be Dobbs. When they limit his running, he is timid in the passing game. He has been his best in more desperate situations (GA 2015, SC 2014). IMO. CBJ is so afraid of turnovers that it makes Dobbs play tentative.

You know what's cool? We're 1-0.

You know what's stupid? That y'all act like Butch personally offended you with his stupid game management, while seeming to forget the fact that he is the one is danger of losing his 7 figure annual salary because of it. He made a calculated decision and it was *nearly* the wrong one. How 'bout we snap and clear?

1 game into the season and there's already a "Is Butch on the hot seat" thread in the FF, with one of the posters in there already wanting Butch Fahred.

Precisely why I don't venture over there. I don't have patience for irrational behavior.

Look man, I'm sure that would be fun and all, but this dead horse isn't gonna beat itself.

(Also, a bit of a random point, the offseason Golden Child Dabo managed to look worse at game management).

Anyhow, on to Bristol.

And there is nothing more fun that the continued beating of a horse dead three days in the summer sun...

Miami maybe starting 3 freshmen linebackers when they play App St., and App. St has a bye before playing them.

Richt knows this Tennessee team well and knows how talented it is so I doubt he makes the same mistake we did. Plus, they'd have their playbook open by that time anyway. Miami may still struggle but I doubt they overlook App at all after what happened. Now had they played them when we did Miami might not have escaped.

This times infinity. The dead horse needs to be left alone.

If you're referencing my thread, I never said he was on the hot seat just that with a change at AD and a poor performance this season, given our talent and experience, could be a bad combination for Butch. IMO four years is plenty of time to prove yourself as a coach. Also I don't want CBJ fired I want him to do well but, baring injuries anything short of making the SECCG would be a failure this year. Two SECE teams have new coaches and both of those teams we beat last year. Florida should finally be a win and the rest shouldn't be problems. It's ours for the taking, just like last year.

Still don't think anyone on our schedule is better than us except Alabama.

We have a really, really good defense that will only continue to get better and an offense that is hard to stop when it gets rolling.

I agree. Hope the line looks like they did at the end of last year though. That will be our downfall if not.

Why should we even be having the discussion of what if we don't have a good year? I don't even understand that mentality. It just sounds to me like you and others had already given up on the season.
