Recruiting Forum Off-Topic Thread II

I agree there's nothing wrong with having fun on VN. I like to joke around myself. However, there's too many posts where people personally attack other members. There should be penalties for that.

Talking about someone or their family personally is totally wrong. I don't care what forum it is called & subject matter is for. I'm a Christian man & that's what upsets me so much about this. We are supposed to all love each other even though most of us don't personally know each other.

Some of the comments I've seen posted has actually made me cry posted towards other people. It's not the way God intended us to live.

Like I said, kidding & joking is a different story but flat out brutally personally attacking ANY member is wrong & that poster should be temporarily banned or something to send a message it's not going to be allowed. Thanks!

Can you cite an example of a "personal" attack? You brought up your deceased father twice and I didn't see anybody pounce. You have an attacking style in your posts but leave your facts at home. You constantly misquote posters even tho the posts were about two back and easily checked. You apologized on one misstep but then sprained your back whilst patting it concerning how much guts it took admitting you were wrong. It seems you're trying to carve out a role as a voice of reason on here...and then fly off the handle! :scare: Calm down and slow your roll. Don't be afraid to put your opinion out on a recruit or issue but present it less aggressively. You're going to get grief when you're wrong (I do), but learn to say ok and keep going.

I know you fail to realize it but the sharks smell blood in the water. Its just a good old fashioned ribbing buddy. Get that skin thickened up and you will be just fine.

Lotta caricatures on here...huh, buddy?

It's just harder for me as a true Christian man to see some of the stuff posted. It's not abut growing thick skin. It's about me having a god loving heart for ALL people & not wanting to see people talked to in such a way including myself. That's just me & my faith but I'm not pushing faith or Christianity on anybody on here. Thanks!

Oh, I've forgot you're the one of the few on here that's always right butchna. I found that you're in arguments with quite a few people on here all the time yourself. Don't try to deny it either. I can easily go back & find them if I need to but there's no need to do that.

Nobody is perfect but sometimes you're one of the very ones that absolutely has to respond to nearly all posts to make a comment regardless if it pertains to you or not. It's all good though with you. I've learned that's just you & your ways on here. Thanks!

To the ignore cave with bologna! I can't take it or spam anymore. Makes me feel like I am in middle school again.

:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p

And he keeps trying to give all the guys tongue.

I don't think color has much to do with it. Eastern Kentucky is depressing for the same reason..poverty, crime and drug addiction. There are very ethnicities here. It is a colorless plague.

I gave you a like - not for the content - but for the truth in what you said.

This..Tony..this. I catch grief from some guys. Some if it is warranted. Some of it crosses the line, but that is what ignore is for. You get on my nerves. You remind me of a phony poster named vollady that acted way to stereotypical. So I ignored you. I only see your posts because idiots like my ol buddy butchna here keep quoting you. But he is off his meds so I cut him some slack. Anyway feel free to randomly post D4H style stupidity ALL the time, but if you do, be aware that people are going to call you on being purposely annoying. It can get really ugly when you troll. Just like the big three morans of the RF (great news you're making it four with a bullet) you get off on the attention you get from stirring up strife.

According to Poets.org about Haikus:

As the form has evolved, many of these rules—including the 5/7/5 practice—have been routinely broken. However, the philosophy of haiku has been preserved: the focus on a brief moment in time; a use of provocative, colorful images; an ability to be read in one breath; and a sense of sudden enlightenment and illumination.

So I say it still counts!

This reminded me... anyone remember a year ago or so when the football talk thread went nuts writing these nursery rhymes about the gators struggling in recruiting? My goodness I laughed so hard my stomach was sore. We should start up a similar trend with haikus
