obsessed is too strong. how about we're not even 1 day removed from the decision and there's nothing to talk about until Thursday (unless, for some ungodly reason you're interested in the NIT).I think the fact that since this thread began there are two or three MORE threads about how unfair the committee was and how UT got singled out, bent over, and rogered but good is testament to the fact that, still, the fans here are obsessed with the injustice of your seeding.

I sincerely hope you are right and that it doesn't change next year. The difficult OOC schedule is part of what makes UT tourney-tough and will serve them well over the next few weeks.

Every Bruce Pearl team has had one of the nation's most difficult schedules. Perhaps it didn't serve us quite as well this year as it could have, but it did get us a 2 seed a couple of years ago. UT's going to lose two of its best players, but we won't go and schedule a bunch of patsies to compensate (unlike some other schools).
Sure it is. He's saying that the tough schedule didn't pay off so next year he'll just schedule easier games to pad the win column.
I mean, you do could not possibly think he was saying something else.
Could you?
For crying out loud, what is with you guys? Even Pearl is stuck on this whiny we didn't get a one seed issue. Enough! Just go win games! You want to be the best, you got to beat the best -- who cares in what order?
Incidentally, I looked it up. Of the last ten final fours, 15 of the teams have been #1 seeds, 9 have been #2 seeds, 7 have been #3 seeds, and 3 have been #4 or #5 seeds. A few others thrown in. Point is, not as huge a difference as you might think.
Florida was a #3 seed when they won it all in 2006. Connecticutt was a #2 seed in 2004. Syracuse was a #3 seed in 2003. Kentucky was a #2 seed in 1998.
Pearl stated that he scheduled the way he thought the selection committee wanted and that HE thought the results turned in by our BB team was enough to fit the bill.don;t know why this thread resurged, but what the hell are you talking about? I mean where did bruce pearl bitch about our seedings? Either i missed this or you pulled it out of your. I heard him on PTI joking, when mike or tony asked him about how he felt about getting the lowest 2 seed and having to play UNC in NC, he replied, well honestly, UNC is undefeated on the road so i feel we have the advantage. or is this just a typical florida fan bitching??
