We have 1 spot officially left to get to 25 commits that Butch wants. We can easily get a top 10 class on NSD. We sign Trey Smith as our last spot. Butch releases 3-5 current commits & replaces those with 4* &* recruits. That will give us a top 1o signing class. Probably around 8th or 9th depending on which recruits we get.

KBVol,If you've ever followed recruiting which I assume you do we can expect changes between now and signing day. I highly suspect that a few will de-commit and we will keep recruiting players. That's just the nature of the game these days and it's that way for all teams that recruit all out. Come signing day Tennessee will have at least a top 10 class, mark it down I said it. GBO!!!

I and others have said this a million times. We're gonna "exchange" 4-5 players for more highly rated players. We agree there. Add Trey Smith too and we can make this a much more respectable class. Still gonna be tough to get to #8-10 IMO, but we'd be much closer than we will be if we just sit pat with what we have now.

I responded to the poster because he flippantly said we're now higher in the rankings than Clemson, which is an ignorant statement IMO. Just factually stated that we currently are ranked one spot higher because we have 24 commits to their 12....at present its our quantity over their quality and unless we make some significant changes to our class we won't sniff the top 10 while Clemson very easily will.

I'm not bragging or trying to be called Mr. recruiting Daddy but I think I was one of the 1st to say this. People were jumping all over me for saying that. To dump commits & sign other recruits wasn't going to happen unless we dropped 10+ commits which would start a firestorm from the media on Butch. That's what members on here were telling me.

I said 3-5 commits from the start. No more than that too. After Chandler committing today we're down to 1 spot left but we will have another 4-6 spots total once Butch works his magic. I think our 25th commit Butch definitely wants Trey Smith.

Once the 3-5 commits are dropped we are going after 4* & 5* recruits leftover on NSD. I think Butch will pull it off & get us into the top 10. I don't think we have a chance at a top 5. If it is it's a small % chance. Thanks!

Here is a scenario for you.

We add:
Lamont Wade(unlikely but anyway).
Trey Smith
Jaylen Harris(unlikely but hey).
Jalen McKenzie
Matthew Butler

We lose:
Page
Jones
Bembry

The kicker agrees to blue shirt.

We finish with 248.15 points.

Looking at 2016, we would be 16th.

Our 2016 class is finished. Why would you concern yourself about that class now? We should be moving onto 2017 & beyond to focus on bringing in the best possible recruits we can.

You want credit for saying that something is going to happen that ALREADY happened exactly that way in the previous 2 classes that we signed. Man, that is some psychic stuff right there. Can you get a message to my grandfather that passed away a decade ago?

I'm using the finished 2016 rankings as a realistic baseline for finished classes. Obviously I can't use the 2017 finalized class rankings as they aren't all final.
