Practice #5 Updates 8.6.16

I made a comment on him doing drills sometime before Fall camp, that he seemed to be going at a different speed...expected negative comment...wasn't disappointed. :glare: Even doing generic walk through stuff, he's a click ahead. Really corded muscle makes it look effortless. I see him being the real chosen one out of this already impressive bunch after his career is completed.

Based on his recruiting profile he runs a 4.60. He also played some WR in high school. Not every day you hear of a WR/DE hybrid haha

Remember that fun fact! :w00t: Was really wiry, so the year of strength training paid mucho dividends! Best 3rd team DE in college football (I said it! :aggressive:)

REALLY pulling for this young man...

So Justin Martin,

I'm not worried but curious. Dude was suppose to be filthy smooth, fast, height, and all the traits you want in a CB. I've read more than once that he keeps getting beat in his 1 v. 1 drills.

Callaway is a freshmen, shorter, slower, doesn't know the play book, etc

Like I said. I'm not worried, but if our D is gonna reach the potential it has, we need Justin to excel.

He lost a rep in practice to a talented athlete. Guess he's a robot and Callaway is a walk-on level player.

I'm gettin' slow in my old age I know but did I completely miss what's up with Cody Blanc leaving??

He wasn't going get PT with all the talent in front of him. Saw the writing on the wall, got his degree, and moved on.
