Your personal biases make you say crazy things in this thread sometimes. Wonderboy's fight with Rory wasn't exciting, but he's clearly one of the most deserving contenders. The UFC could give the winner of Condit and Maia the next shot, but Diaz? Regardless of what Woodley thinks, that's not a money fight. That would be just as ridiculous as Henderson getting the first crack at Bisping. Diaz hasn't won a fight in nearly five years. At least Henderson has won a fight this year and holds a win over Bisping.

Wonderboy just doesn't have the fan base yet, and the UFC wants to strike the Diaz iron while it's hot. I think the UFC could promote Thompson more, but he needs to promote himself better, too. He's an exciting fighter and has 1/10 the twitter following Nate Diaz has.

How is Wonderboy overrated? He destroyed Hendricks in the first round and beat McDonald and has won his last 7 fights. The only person he hasn't gotten to face is Lawler. He deserves a title shot over Woodley's ridiculous choices. GSP and Nick Diaz haven't fought in forever and don't deserve title shots. Wonderboy has put the time and work in to get his shot.

You lost me there. Maybe Diaz has taken some time off (16 months is all), but he has 35 pro fights. He's put the time and the work in.

Diaz has been suspended a year and half. He doesn't deserve to walk in and get a title shot. If they're that set on giving him a shot, give him a fight with Lawler with the winner getting the Woodley/Wonderboy winner. Not that difficult to get viewers for those fights, IMO.

I thought Wonderboy had more of a reason than Woodley, and if he gets passed again, then it just continues the UFC's methodology of catering to the "hype factor", rather than meaningful competitions.

I think the UFC is sick of champions losing. 7 title holders have lost this year (maybe Lawler made 8?).

We'll get both fights, so who cares?...unless Diaz pulls a rabbit out of his hat, which would be more exciting than any other possible outcome in a Woodley title defense.

Exactly, and I think Woodley is hilarious trying to dictate who he fights next and who deserves a title shot. He comes back after an extended time off and gets a title fight, but a guy on a seven fight win streak who climbed up the ranks in the division doesn't? Makes no sense, and makes Woodley look like he's ducking fights...

I don't think Woodley is afraid of Wonderboy. I think he probably thinks he's a worthy opponent, but I highly doubt he is afraid of that matchup.

Rousey got knocked the **** out and embarrassed on PPV but she gets to trot In like she's gods gift to the fight gods. Diaz might as well get a shot too

We don't agree on everything, but no filter is needed. I wish more passionate fight fans posted in this thread.
