I was told early on that he informed the coaches not to waste their time, he was not interested. Don't know if it's true but what I heard.

Harris pulled in an outstanding four catches as a freshman. He still has a lot of football to play, but it's not like he's had a great run so far either. Wolf for two more years, then Pope, then Rogers. I like our TE situation.

UGA was pretty solid at Last yr with Rome and some guy with a weird last name That was a top recruit. Blezvich or something. Harris prob gets more time this yr with Rome gone.

At same time I am also good with our current TE situation. Wolf, Croom, Stoc, Pope, and Brooks. I really like Pope and Brooks potential as the future. A healthy Brooks was a top 100 overall player he dropped after injury.

I agree and I said on here he wasn't really that good. Was a jump ball receiving TE who was very avg. That Jackson kid will be a pro TE he can catch and block plus he has a nice frame to grow into and add weight.

Why do you love digging at the staff so much? I lived in Bama for 7 years. You never heard anything negative from any alumni at either Bam or Awbarn...at all. They all toe the party line. If they don't agree with something they keep it to their selves. They actively work to promote their schools program no matter what...Our alumni "just keepin it real" and "Just doing their job" is a massive stumbling block to progress. But y'all just keep on keeping it real there DeJuan and Buck. Seriously if you are a highly rated HS kid and UTs own folks speak negatively about staff coaches, how do you think that effects their reasoning? I know how I'd feel...but y'all just keep on grinding that axe..for realz.

I like de1 and the info he brings but I agree.

I remember him posting about azzani and how WR's claimed they would transfer if he were retained and other stuff of that sort.

If he truly loves UT, and thinks he's as important/well known as he implies he is, then he wouldn't go about things the way he goes about about them. If your voice can be heard, use it to the programs advantage while respecting the kids and their decisions.

Bad mouthing our staff (especially if you're well known figure) is toxic and anything but, what a true VFL would do.

I really didn't mean for that to be mean spirited sounding as it was. They won't listen to me or anybody else though. A lot of our "VFLs" could take pointers from bulldogs, bammers and barners and tigers and rebels..heck pretty much every other program in CFBs former players on how to promote their program. They have no true loyalty to UT. You'll find no Brad Lester among guys like them is what I'm saying. We also have the most corrosive local media in CFB. Which includes former Vols. And you don't see guys like Charles Davis being openly Volcentric either. It's like there is a spirit of contrarianism ingrained in everything connected to the UT program. Including, or rather especially, a large percentage of Volunteer fandom.

See this is not true UEM and IV i know Bammers, Barners, Daegs etc speak with them freqently. Guys from Barn want Malzhan gone and of course no Bammers complain hell they're consistenly #1 but ask me how they felt when they had Price, Dubose, etc and same for Awbarn guys before and even when they hired Chizik. Jawga guys complain like hell and are happy as hell Richt is gone. Also a note to the wise they hated Janzek and Martinez. Likewise they told me Dooley was a goof ball only for me to deny them to hv a chance to be right. Who laughed in the end. What a lot of you have to understand is this, every staff has it weaknesses, and ppl have the right to point them out. Until we have the "best staff in America" guys will constantly complain when they see bad coaching or calls. This happens in every fan base. I don't sugar cote things when I sitin the coaches office nor will i of asked here. Simply sorry that i have no fake bones, and nor does Buck. When guys wanted to leave if Azzani was retained we talked to guys individually and no one left. See the thing is this, kids want to play and not be robots. I never commented before but lets discuss Pig Howard. Pig hated Azzani's coaching and never did it Azzani's way. Pig was out best Wr. Eventually this attitude became contagious and others like PW saw it and tried it. He called otherVFLs who initially got him to look into coming to UT. He wanted to lv too. Facts are fact Azzani has never churned out a Wr wortha damn at any school. I met Antonio Brown through Ramone Foster another VFL. He said he was not coached by Z who claims he was his coach. At Fla he produced nothing special and at Wiscky Jarred A was his best Wr. This shouldn't be acceptable at UT, we are losing guys who can be difference makers because of this because its easy to negative recruit against. I spoke with a 5* kid Saturday about UT. I said why not consider the best up and coming team in the NCAA? The kid said well another coach asked me this, how many guys have they put in the NFL vs us putting an avg of 6 in the top 3 rounds. See guys facts are facts. Tucking your head in the sand doesn't help anything, neither does a piss poor coach. Like I said before and will say again 2 need to go and 2 need to come in with a proven track record and not becase they are a friend but because they can coach and recruit. This is big boy ball and some gys from CMU and Cincy just ain't gonna cut it. I love CBJ and many others, but the weak links have to be purged. Just my $.02 though and I know all won't like it.

CBJ has put kids in the NFL from Cincinnati and cmu so that point is erroneous. Also, Butch had to deal with Dooley recruits. CBJ recruits are now available for the NFL. The meaningful ones came back. What are these coaches gonna ***** about once three go in the first and 3 more in rounds 2-3?

Absolutely right. CBJs first recruiting class, assembled in a month, are now rising seniors. In addition, while players rexruited by the previous regime have not been talented enough to be drafted, several have found their way through free agency and these recent players have the reputation of being disciplined and willing to work. Over the next two years, we will see what a college career under CBJ means to a player's prospects. If kids are running away because we "aren't putting players in the pros" they need to listen to some different advisors. The data is not fully in yet, but it certainly looks like Jones's process works.

Couple things:

You're right about Azzani and I believe CBJ will be hands on with this group this year to change the coaching and results. If CZA receives this in a positive way, he can be a good coach.

You're right about the draft. Dooley really sucked at his job. That's about all CBJ has to say about that.
