2016 Election Thread Part Deux

You're missing part of the point. First I'll address your point...

The President needs to have at least a basic understanding of economics, particularly anything related to trade because that is where he is most empowered.

If he doesn't know anything NAFTA, why is he saying he'd change it? Doesn't that trouble you?

Maybe you should lend the billionaire some of your economics books.

He got absolutely destroyed on this point during one of the libertarian debates. Not sure if that's actually what he believes or if he's just taking the more widely accepted position, but it's pretty strange.

I can see why. his reasoning and his analogies were terrible.

It will be interesting to see how the polls shake out here over the next couple of weeks. Should give us a lot better image of where the election will really be won or lost.

I have a feeling the debates are going to disappoint. Both candidates are so flawed that the questioning is likely going to just go back and forth between asking Trump how he answers criticisms that he is inexperienced and ignorant on the issues, and how she answers criticisms that she is untrustworthy and unlikable.

Making a successful biz and managing an economy are not really related concepts.

Let's hand the reigns over to a truly self made guy, like George Soros...does that sound good?

Your appeal to his authority as a billionaire is a logical fallacy and not a good one.

Do you think the top level execs at Ford know how to run the machinery on the floor at the manufacturing plant?

Do you know how to rebuild a CAT 3406?

No to both. You hire the right people to do it for you.
Unless you are a progressive democrat. Then you hire your cronies.
