All football teams will wear Alabama jerseys, all basketball teams will wear Kentucky jerseys.

Brutal deal, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

That's funny dude :}:}:}, but it could be true also :}:}:}

So there was still doubt that Muschamp is a tool? I thought we had conclusive evidence of that long ago.

I'll see your gut punch, and raise you a kick to the huevos.

The best was a couple of years ago in the FL game in Knoxville when time had clearly run out on the clock before the center snapped the ball for the field goal and they let it stick.... I lost two years on my life with that one...

If that is supposed to be funny, then I don't get the joke. Maybe it just shows what a douche nozzle Chump is and the lack of class SweenyTodd has for letting him talk about his wife like that. Again, it may be a joke but I don't get it.

Agree.

Even if they aren't friends, I'd imagine he was just being diplomatic. Do you want to make yourself look like an unhinged hot head by going off over a joke? Nothing says "I don't trust my wife" by reacting to every little thing.

My husband trusts me completely, but he certainly wouldn't laugh off a comment like that or join in by calling me a flirt.

Muschamp is an ass, so no surprise there. Agree with another poster - just a wuss reply by Dabo.

I did. I absolutely thought we were getting a Heisman candidate. I thought we were getting way more than a solid in-state RB. I honestly thought we were getting a transformational, Eric Dickerson 2.0. Guess my expectations were a little high.

But again, please just don't read my first paragraph, also read the second. I think Hurd is an exceptional college football running back, does some great things, is one of the very best in the country. As a fan I'll be forever indebted to him for choosing Tennessee and helping get us back to relevance and prominence. I just honestly thought we were getting the Jalen we have now PLUS the breakaway, game breaking ability that all the elite RBs have, which in my mind, is the only thing that keeps him from belonging in that club.

Good thing his career isn't over.

Scuttlebutt among some in Atlanta is that Georgia coaches are concerned the "first year won't be a very good year." Have a friend who's husband works in the State Capital and was recently at a dinner a Georgia coach who expressed this concern privately.

Gave you a like for using "scuttlebutt".

I believe they are concerned about the health of their RB's and the play of their QB's.

They should be.

What you say is true but I fully believe we will see JH take at least a couple to the house this season.

One of their O linemen will need to have his head on a swivel the entire game...

Jalen hasnt run behind a good OL yet either. Last year was decent the year before was HS level. This year should be his best help yet.

Would love to see 6-7 while he's at it. I think if he shows he has that as an element of his game, and as a result pushes his avg yards per carry to 5.5-6.0, then both his Heisman and his NFL draft stock will soar.

So...

Get more of the highly ranked players (which, according to D4H, is a flawed system)... And you have a better chance of hitting on something. You can't be certain about one player, but an aggregate ranking of all of those players, essentially a compilation of a bunch of flawed measures, gives a good snapshot of a team's chances at success.

But... Using more of the ranking systems and giving a composite class ranking (remember, class rankings are useful!) to have a better chance of evaluating the class correctly... That's wrong and useless. Because 'compiling multiple flawed measures doesn't make a better measure.'

I think I get it!

Where did I say that?

I said the player composite rankings are flawed. I just told you it's 50/50 whether a 5 star turns out to be any good. Just because 4 websites agree he's a 5 star doesn't make it more accurate.

Last year, Byron Cowart was a consensus 5 star, the #1 player in the country according to some. Just because everyone agreed he would be good didn't make him good.

The composite team ranking is fine. I only have a problem with people who think composite player rankings are somehow more accurate than citing any one site. The only way a consensus opinion on players are more accurate is if you believe these people know what they're talking about. And I don't.

Sorry Baldy. I don't know how much more balanced and honest I can be about it. Said he was very, very good...comolimented him on his strengths. I just just thought Jalen was gonna be a game breaker who, when given a step would never be caught from behind, a guy who could outrun an angle. IMHO, as good as he is, he's just not that guy.

I mean, you basically expected him to be the best RB of all time while playing behind a terrible OL his first year and a meh OL his second year. All of this while playing in a spread system that in all honesty doesn't best highlight his skills.

You're expectations of him were completely unreasonable.

Poor example IMO.

Our offense hands the ball to Hurd. We don't throw it to Malone, Or any WRs much. Also I'd wait to discount Josh's rating till he's done here.

I've seen Malone drop many balls he should catch. He doesn't have natural receiver skills like Preston Williams.

He's not an elite talent no matter what those recruiting sites said.
