Paging GFW for injury update on Jauan Jennings. Read an article about our young receivers coming along and it mentioned Jennings still had health concerns.

Give us some of your thoughts on this team. I haven't heard much from you lately. Curious how you're feeling about the season coming up.

I won't put out a win total or anything, but I'm with everyone in the sense that we should easily win the East.

I don't really know how to feel about the freshman WR talk, because to me, that means the rest of the group (see: non-freshman) is still not progressing like they should. Fully expecting a breakout from Preston Williams, though.

Dobbs is always going to have us in the game, even if he doesn't progress much as a passer this season.

I think the defense will be nasty and I don't see a weakness there.

No glaring weakness with this team, IMO. Little worried about the passing game, but they'll be good enough.

Nothing profound. Just ready for the season. :hi:

I'm usually just a lurker but I wanted to take a chance to explain "Negavol cycle" for those not familiar. It happened every year under CBJ. Late February through June= complaining we don't have enough commits and all hope is lost. June through October= we have way too many recruits with not enough stars and all hope is lost. October through February= kids are decommiting, relationships are ruined and all hope is lost. Rinse and repeat. Hope this helps and stop feeding the trolls.

I remember when we actually had informed discussions about recruiting in the RF. Those were the days...

It's always worse this time of year. No football so the FF spastics flood every thread.

As someone who visits both forums, I can guarantee it's not a FF member that does the majority of flooding in the threads.
No sir, that one is all home grown.

I would say it's mostly FF posters but the posters that hammer the same point over and over are RF. The RF posters also post more(looking at you crunchyleb).

Thanks.

I'd give a much more intricate speech but this is unexpected. Its the recognition I receive from members like yourself that helps me stay focused and keeps me going.

Once again, thanks. And God Bless America.

I used to only visit this forum, but now I visit both. I don't see much difference anymore personally.

Yeah I feel ya. We don't really even have a ton of veteran WR's. I'm curious how Malone is coming along. Haven't heard much about him this offseason. If him and Preston both broke out our offense would be too much for most teams. We know what we're getting from Josh Smith. Jennings is still raw. I could see him being much improved this year though just having a full season under his belt. Other than that it's just a bunch of young guys were gonna be counting on. Cody Blanc?

The obvious issue with this loophole possibility is one would think Butch would have filled this spot on NSD 2016. Probably don't say no to the 5*OT from NC and save the spot.

C'mon man. 5 star OG isn't a 5 star OT. If the kid was a true tackle he would've been a take.

UT offered an 8th grade RB today-- Elijah Howard from Webb. He's a great kid-- very fast and a versatile player. Also plays safety.

I'm surprised we have yet to offer Harrison Bailey, who just finished 8th grade. He is a QB for Marietta here where I live and already has offers from UF, OU, Ole Miss, Miami, UNC, A&M. He just transferred from Hillgrove and and is already nailed down the starting job for Marietta.

It is surprising. He's very advanced for his age. He was at Top Gun with my cousin, and I saw some clips. Wonder if he's been to camp at UT?

Anyone know anything about RV parking at Bristol?

Thinking about renting an RV and taking a group if it's doable

Edit: Never mind I found a thread in the Fb about it

I heard an extremely successful person's speech on how to be the leader in your industry say that part of the secret is being just good enough, never is.

Hey guys, the posters that run the podcast on VolNation are really trying to promote it and get a few more listeners. They really want feedback as well, positive or negative. If you could give them a listen and let them know what you think! Here is their Facebook page as well. Share it and get them out there. They do a really great job.

You're right, he is very fast. At one point he was considered one of the fastest in the country at his age. He ran 23.08 200m last year at 13. This season, he will play varsity football at Webb as an 8th grader.
