'17 MS WR Jordan Murphy (UT signee)

3 star on the 247 and has grade issues. Wish I could be more positive about this commit but it just seems like a questionable move at this point. He does hold a very good offer list. This class is filling up fast and there are a lot of elite names still out there.

You guys are welcome. I've been repping the Vols for 4 1\2 yrs here in Mississippi. I also live in Hattiesburg. I'm sure the kid has seen me in my Volunteer gear out on the town or while coaching.

"Worth noting that Murphy is high school teammates with 2018 running back Fabian Franklin, who was with him today on his visit. Franklin is an elite RB, already holding offers from Bama, Michigan and Tennessee among others. He also has a lot of ties to Hattiesburg native Robert Gillispie.

Had a chance to catch up with Franklin after camp today and he was heading back home calling Tennessee his leader. Still pretty early in the process for him but he clearly left feeling very good about Tennessee and having his buddy commit probably didn't hurt the impression the Vols made on him either."

4 star on rivals. If your that narrow sighted to not realize there are more than one persons opinion of a player then you need help. As long as a kid is a 4 star on at least one site it tells me something is there regardless of the site. Watch the tape and look at offers. These aren't kids with Austin peay offers

But east side vol doesn't like him even if it brings us two five star backs for this class and next

Been looking for southern Mississippi Vols for a while. There are a few of us down here. I've probably seen you before! I always wear a black Vols hat. Heck yeah, I'd love to watch a Vols game with another fan. I am stuck with a State fan and an LSU fan. They keep talking smack!

There some talent here in Southern Mississippi. NFL alums everywhere. Heck, Steve McNair's family is down here. I've coached a couple of them in various sport and they are all pure athletes.

No worries if he does indeed have academic issues. Word is Donnie Tyndall has some connections in Hattiesburg that can help take care of any such issues
