We've entered the season without significant holes in a major position in terms of depth, experience, or talent?

I'm casting my mind back, but I really cannot even remember, unless we go back to the 90's, a time when I was this realistically optimistic about a season.

It's been a long time since I felt this good about the program. Not just good, but proud of the way the players have come into the program, stayed out of trouble, and improved in game skill and character.

Good things are coming, y'all. Go Vols and God bless.

Can't wait.

Yesterday's gone, yesterday's gone.

2007. Ainge at QB, Foster, Coker & Hardesty at RB, Briscoe, Rogers, Gerald Jones, Denarius Moore, & Lucas Taylor at WR, Jeff/Brad Cottam, Chris Brown, & Stocker at TE. Defense- Berry, Hefney, Mayo, McCoy, Xavier Mitchell, DeAngelo Willingham, Robert Ayers, Demonte Bolden, Dan Williams...plus Daniel Lincoln and Britton Colquitt.

That team had good talent and depth. We finished 12th.

Another heartbreak loss to LSU in the SEC Championship game too. Shouldve won that one.

Look at the wide receiver stats from last season. There is a hole in either the quarterback or the wide-receiver positions.

Dobbs isn't the greatest passer in the world but he wasn't getting help from his receivers early in the year. You got 3 guys in your backfield that can house it at any time, you play to your strengths. That being said, I would like to see Dobbs be more consistent throwing the ball this year.
