We need one. Otherwise it's possible that our only DTs in 2018 are sophomores, redshirt freshmen, true freshmen, and Picou. That's actually why I think Alexis Johnson is more valuable in 2017 and 2018.

KMack and Tuttle likely both don't declare after 2017, but it's a possibility that the coaches need to plan for.

Speaking of running backs ... I have been following the Cam Akers and Ty Chandler threads, which seem to have swung back in the optimistic direction.
Made me speculate about having those two to replace Hurd/Kamara.

It also made me think of the 2011 season opener against Montana where we couldn't run the ball worth a darn. Against MONTANA!! This board was interesting to read. Were we just SO good at the passing game that we didn't even NEED to run?

Vastly improved rushing statistics, and the recruitment of elite D-linemen are the things I'm most happy with Butch Jones.

There's no reason that the Vols will not only be a great team in 2016, but a downright dominant team.

The only thing we need to win big is the return of Butch Stones to the controls.

I just beat Florida 33-10 in NCAA 14 with the updated rosters. I'm feeling pretty dadgum good

The media constantly piles on about how Butch can't close out games. That that's the only thing that would possibly hold this team back. I hope Butch hears it and goes full hammer mode on everybody this year. Just this once.

I'm tired of that narrative. Last I checked we have closed out two of the last three close games we've played, and the only one we lost was to the eventual national champion. That's the narrative I'd like to hear.

We're gonna be downright nasty this season.


Big Balls Butch hasn't gone anywhere. Just all about timing.. and it's time.
