Satellite camps are way over blown IMO. They play a very small role in recruiting at the elite level.

Now the real issue is if buck is recruiting against us. From what I posted earlier I do believe he is pissed at us

I wouldn't be surprised if Butch announced a UT camp in the Nashville area right after.

It's been clear that instate recruiting had issues. Not a good year to screw it up.

I'm concerned about when we play in the playoffs. I'm serious. I have a real problem.

Hi my name is volatil and I'm addicted to UT football. True story, I bought a tiny earpiece radio because my idiot friend got married during the Georgia game... In Georgia. I was IN the wedding! He was mad at me for months. Totally worth it. We won.

We have a long long ways to go until signing day. Butch has yet to let us down up to this point in recruiting. I'm going to keep faith that even if this class doesn't catapult back up in the rankings, that it will still be a class full of under the radar studs worthy of donning the orange.

You negs can't bring me down. Not this year. We fixing to run this sheet.

I was looking at the 2014 recruiting class. The 15 class hasn't had enough time to develop for us to really evaluate.

2014

4 star players who never contributed:

Derrell Scott
Dewayne Hendrix
Daniel Helm
D'andre Payne
Michael Sawyers
Dontavious Blair

4 star players who have yet to really contribute outside of special teams/might have gotten recruited over:

Dillon Bates
Gavin Bryant
Cortez McDowell
Charles Moseley
Evan Berry (so far)

3 star players who were clear hits:

Ethan Wolf
Rashaan Gaulden (seems like he will be)
Coleman Thomas
Jashon Robertson
Demarya Mixon
Owen Williams

I'm not really trying to say that rankings don't mean anything. That was a huge class with tons of turnover. I just don't think it's worth stressing out about. We have a great staff that can evaluate talent. We're starting to develop depth. We don't have to have Alabama talent/depth at every position to win big. That's not likely to ever happen here or anywhere else. We need to have guys that buy in, fit our system and get better every year. And we will steadily sprinkle in star caliber players in every class.

Nobody thought Barnett or Sutton were going to be the studs they became. This staff can identify talent. They can also get it to Knoxville. If it's not who we want, then it will be somebody else who can play that somebody else wanted. Believe that.

We are entering into a golden age of Vols football and a lot of y'all don't seem to realize it.

This is what stability feels like. Recruiting won't be a cakewalk every year. But we are gonna get players. This staff won't be denied that much.

Are they discussing this camp at all on VQ? Hubbs, Fort anyone explaining why the hell we aren't going? If Buck has done this to spite Butch he needs to never be allowed access to UT again. He is in a power position of sorts with these players and is publicly spurring his own damn school!!! Everyone should be outraged at this. And all the while, inviting our biggest rivals to partake. Surely this has something to do with instate recruiting trouble at the moment. And of course, conveniently every single dank insider has suddenly disappeared on here. What in the hell is going on with this program???

Bingo. It sure does seem that way. I wonder if it has something to do with Thig. We need to let RG start recruiting mid-state, as he seems to have the personality that people draw to.

Evan Berry has been a superstar for us even if he hasn't played any defense. The guy has been a huge hit. Its disrespectful to list him with those other guys.

The guy is the best kick returner in college football and one of the best ever. He'll likely get drafted purely on his return ability.

FYI add Emmanuel Moseley to the list of 3 stars who have hit from the 2014 class.

People point to not going for two later, but this felt like a huge mistake at the time, and obviously in retrospect. The inability to make a single stop on 4th down that day was...insane. Not one!

Some were pointing to shifting Thig out of the mid state area recruiting wise would be a good start. I had hoped Shoop would help repair a lot of the issues there. It just hasn't happened.

Priceless :eek:lol: I love it. I am the same way. My world comes to a stop when its game time. My wife an kids know it and my neighbors know cause they here us! :rock:
