Does anyone know what 247 means by this or has anyone read the article? Does it mean we are about to get our '17 QB? Thanks in advance. Trying to attach but basically saying Vols near end of '17 QB search.

No one thought that though at the time. We were supposed to have tons of momentum after winning 6 in a row, destroying a top 15 team in a bowl, and being preseason top 10. Something STILL doesn't add up for me.

It's just not impressive enough for recruits IMO. No one really cares that we smoked Kentucky and Vandy and Northwestern and finally pulled ourselves out of the SEC gutter. The narrative that UT blows games, doesn't get players drafted, and doesn't have early playing time available is a strong deterrent for class of 17 kids.

Not sure.

But despite claims of Tennessee always being predicted to be at the top yet not delivering, this is the first time we were picked to win the east since 2005

I had this debate with a fellow Vol fan who swore most predicted they'd win last year. The SEC media voted 166 for GA and 36 for TN last year (first place votes). TN was predicted second.

Where'd TN finish? 2nd. Georgia? 3rd.

Which team disappointed?

Facts are completely irrelevant. The preferred narrative that was decided on is that Tennessee, not Georgia, is always overhyped every year and fails to deliver. We have always been at war with Eastasia.
