'17' TN ATH Tee Higgins (Clemson commit)

It won't matter like I said a couple times already. Tee is going to receive a substantial suspension if this turns out to be a true story. He might not even see a college career.

Only an NFL one but he would still have this situation hanging over him as an off the field issue. Hopefully he wouldn't get into anymore trouble other than this total mess!

The NCAA could really stick it to both Tee & Clemson because the way this appears to have been handled. At least a 1 year suspension for Tee but it could be as much as two or even not allowed to play college even though this would be rare.

I can assure you nothing will come of this. Maybe some long lived message board scuttlebutt, but nothing more.

"Broke a lot of us." "Some are still coping." Seriously? Good Lord, this sounds like some major, life altering event has taken place.

It could be some around here have WAY too much invested in the recruiting of high school boys.....

Couldnt...agree...more

You can assure me? C'mone! You're not an Insider so you can't make those type of claims. Do you think the NCAA is going to set back & let this go like nothing ever happened?

So, it went from "nothing happened" to "nothing will come of this"?

Exactly! There is definitely something but how serious is it is the question? The NCAA will pounce & pounce hard if these allegations end up being true. I'm thinking 70%-80% this is true because of OV making his claims in this thread.

Apparently, you are trying stretch my words into me changing my story too. Nice try. The NCAA will sit back, because there will be nothing found.

We will see buddy. I don't care really in regards to him coming UT. I hope it's not true for this kids sake. I could care less what it does to Clemson. I just don't want Tee to ruin his college career.

I still maintain nothing happened, and as I said nothing will come of this rumor. As in nothing will be found, because there is nothing to find. Do you understand?

I'm one that tends to believe something did happen most likely. Pretty sure it happens more than most think with the higher profile players..

That being said, I really don't care that much. Would've loved to have him play for the Vols but, oh well... Win some, lose some and sometimes you just get out bid... Haaa...

If UT athletic department contacted the NCAA supposedly with proof of request for payment, shouldn't we have heard something by now?

For real.

After hearing some very well connected people talk specifics about it (not on here), I have very little doubt that the handler stuff is absolutely legit. That is why I think there is zero hope that he'll flip back. It really is amazing how former Vols have appeared to become a huge hindrance to Tennessee in recruiting as opposed to being a help.

I've said since that day, there is no way under the sun he flips back to TN

Wow..a former Vol? That is sickening. Is it the NPA guys? That would not suprise me.

Clarification: he is NOT saying the handler is a former player. It was a separate observation, not clearly stated in his original post.

Montell, correct me if I am wrong.

Yeah..I read on down the thread. I can't edit from this phone or I would erase it..Sorry Montrell.

If they had a SEC schedule, they most likely wouldn't have had THE EXACT SAME SCHEDULE. And at some point, they were going to play Bama...just totally out of the realm of possibility they lose two, huh? :)

Now who likes to argue for the sake of arguing? If I said they'd easily be 9-3 or better, I think I'm including it in the realm of possibility that they lose 2.

They only had to play two top 15 teams during the regular season? That sucks.

Petition Sankey to let them in the SEC then. We can't have a 125 team conference; someone is going to have to play elsewhere in a not-as-tough conference. I saw one of the Bammers posted in the Around the NCAA forum that the SEC east was the 9th rated division in CFB last year, 3 places behind one of the ACC divisions.

NPA has nothing to do with Higgins. He is probably talking about Swain. If you connect the dots, Swain is very close to Amari and trains him. Amari is very close to Tee. Swain is always blasting Azzani and pass game. That's my connecting of the dots

The big 3 in the East are about to become the big 3 again, and that is going to fix that.

Honest appraisal:

Florida: Can always recruit, and McElwain at the least seems to be competent, maybe a really good coach.

UGA: Killing it in recruiting, and say what you will, I think Kirby is going to be really good.

TN: We back

USC: I think Muschamp may prove to be a good coach. He had some rough patches in FL with injuries. The lack of talent at USCe may doom him though. That cupboard is BARE.

Mizzou: Party is over.

KY: Good old 5-7 wins per year Kentucky.

Vandy: :eek:lol:

Not in order, by the way. Just stating that the big 3 in the East are poised to be very strong again.
