Florida players are unusually loud this year at SECMD

I kind of agree with Homer Gator in the sense that we as VolNation are droning on and on about Florida. As others have said, we just need to put up or shut up.. and until we put up, let's just shut up, because otherwise we're giving Florida way too much recognition, regardless of the context.

People are bored. It's the offseason. There is literally nothing else to talk about seeing as we have exhausted and digested just about every media article out there.

Vol Nation is about 10x as active as the Gator boards. It's only natural to have duplicate topics.

I love the VOL NATION!

This is thread # 4 about the Gators. Every one of the threads talk about how scared the Gators are yet I can't find a single thread on any of the Gator sites, dealing with the vols.

The Gator team and coaches know this is going to be a good year. We finally have a few QBs that can see over the line. We have receivers and TEs that we can throw to. We have10-15 linemen that have been in the same offense, same O-Line coach for two strainght years. We have the same coaching staff in place for two straight years (except for DB and that was an upgrade).

On defense, we have all the starters back to be better than last year.

We have a kicker!!!!

We have a punter that can flip the field.

We have a punt returner that can take it to the house.

We had a young team that found ways to win tight ballgames last year. Your veteran team failed at that last season.

Where your coach said that it would take 7 years to build the team into a contender, our coach came in with 6 O-Linemen and a high school athlete playing QB, and won 10 games and took us to the SEC Championship.

Gentlemen, keep reading the "experts" tell you that the Gators are a 3rd place team in the East. Keep reading that UT is the team to beat because Dobbs is the most experienced QB in the East. That's all FOOLS GOLD.

Yet you're on HERE...telling US about it. Convincing your own board not enough? :w00t:

McElwain is as obnoxious and arrogant as Muschamp... wouldn't put it past him to be the ring leader in getting his players to trash talk. NOT impressed with this guy and fits the personality mold FL goes for (spurrier, muschamp, meyer) We better keep our foot on the gas pedal until the whistle blows this year and put up as many points as possible.

Hatred for another team is what determines how big the rivalry is IMO. They hate us more than UGA.

As for me, I hate bammer more than Satan. They are who I want to beat the most.

Disagree...UGA will always be UF's biggest rival.

Two words: Lindsay Scott

If you told me we'd could go 9-3 or 7-5 and best Florida, I'd go 7-5. I'm probably the only one on here that feels that way (and that's ok)

I just wish that we would win on a fluke play with a so-so team as they have done so many times against us. I think we're definitely better than so-so this year, but I'm just saying. They always seem to find a way to squeak out a win whilst staring a "L" square in the face.

I'm still waiting for you to actually take me up on my bet. Take your pick. You said we lose 27-9 at home. Which one do you want to lose money on? Tennessee to cover +18.5? TN to score more than 9? Or TN just outright wins the game?

All your claims are equally asinine so I'll be more than happy to take money from you on all 3 bets.

Yeah - maybe we could meet in the middle so I can pickup my money...

Chatroom betting? I could be your neighbor, for all you know. I could own the trailer next door to yours.

Most of your stuff is just obnoxious fan speak but what I've placed in bold is just factually wrong... You lost Hargreaves, Neal, Morrison and McAlister on defense.

...but hey, congrats on those close wins over Florida Atlantic and Vandy! Those were real nailbiters.

Just a heads up, Nick Washington started at safety last year, for a couple of games, during suspension / injury.

Quincy Wilson started several games last year, when Tabor or VHIII were out.

McCallister missed the first game of the year and the last 4 1/2 games due to injury.

Morrison started every game but we have Anzalone back, who was a starter to begin the year, until injury. We also started Davis at LB and Rolin.

Florida played so many guys on defense last year, they are reloading.

Just an FYI, we play five O-Linemen but we return 6 guys that started multiple games.

Truth.

Hate to say it but McElwein is 10x better than Butch Jones as a coach.

And it's entirely based on swagger and confidence.

I hate how Butch Jones downplays expectations at every turn and heaps praise on the opponent.

I like my coach to heap praise on our team and have confidence against EVERY opponent.

Meh....quite a few parroted the same thing about Malzahn 3 years ago.

I'm not overly impressed....yet.

Wow! You return the entire O-line that you rushed behind for 15 yards vs Alabama? Damn, we're so screwed.

Nah dude, chatroom betting is the best :) But really either you are actually delusional or you are just trying to add fuel to the fire of a rivalry because there is no way in hell you actually believe you beat us 27-9.

Whether you win or not isn't the point, but if were to ask any of the respected Gator fans on here, I don't think a single one of them would support your delusion that arguably the most experienced offense in the SEC is going to be held to 9 points at home and lose by 18.

And don't bring up your stupid 2014 comparison. That Justin Worley offense has absolutely nothing in common with what will be on the field this year.

I don't think their OL and RB were the problem, I think their midget QB that couldn't throw and couldn't see over the line allowed teams to stack the box.

That's why Dobbs has to be able to be more accurate, if he can't, and teams can stack the box, we won't be able to win games, even with our rushing attack

You obviously get it.

UF looked like crap down the stretch because Treon Harris was a dumpster fire under center.

The last 11 years that FL has beat UT will have no barring come Sept. 24th. Every team, player and game is different from the last.

...and you don't think Alabama was stacking the box against us last year??? They certainly did and we rushed for 132 vs Bama and 335 vs Vandy respectively - while Florida rushed for 15 vs Bama and 93 vs Vandy.

I saw the games...and no team that struggles to run against Vandy and Florida Atlantic has a good offensive line. Sorry.

Putting Dobbs and their QB in the same sentence is an insult to Dobbs. Their QB might have been the worst QB in Div 1 last year. I'd take Dobbs with 1 arm and a bum leg over the guy they strolled out the last half of the year

No doubt about that... I'm just saying that regardless of how many men are in the box and how useless your QB is, anybody with a capable O-line should be able to run vs Vandy...
