Florida players are unusually loud this year at SECMD

I will tell you all what is going on here.

These guys are basically tired of hearing they are going to suck.

To add insult to injury, where are a lot of people showing their love. To Tennessee. To a school they've beaten 11 years in a row.

It's the age old disrespect stuff.

I will tell you that they've been fed this all offseason.

Then they should understand that is due to how they finished the season last year and try to explain that. They looked like crap from the Vandy game on... and as for disrespect? They haven't beaten Tennessee 11 in a row... They have beaten Tennessee either 2 or 3 in a row with the last 2 games by 1 point on 4th quarter comebacks. Florida players are starting to show a sense of entitlement here which I don't mind seeing at all. The "we will beat Tennessee just because we always do" line of thinking is what will end the streak Sept. 24th... and the fact that Tennessee is just better anyway.

I hope you're right. It's hard to put into words but this series is kinda like a road rage fued. Heck today at media days McElwain said very snobbishly in response to the vols gators rivalry " you'll have to ask Tennessee about that". They've earned the right to be aristocraticly rude to the Vols, and the only cure is to win. Win the whole game not just 3.75 quarters, closer mentality.

Actually the reporter called UGA their biggest rival and he stated "you may wanna ask Tennessee about the biggest rival". I took it that he considers UT the rival.

In golf parlance, it's not how you drive, it's how you arrive. We need to finish what we started.

Agree with one of the previous posts -- it ain't a rivalry if you don't win. My Gator wife and family see Georgia as the rivalry, not the Vols. They own us -- for now.

Hatred for another team is what determines how big the rivalry is IMO. They hate us more than UGA.

As for me, I hate bammer more than Satan. They are who I want to beat the most.

I don't want to hear "they are tired of being disrespected." Tennessee has to hear every single year how they can't beat Florida and that Florida is in their heads. How this streak can't be broken and that Tennessee is a perennial offseason darling but they cannot finish. I'm sure our team is tired of players like Tabor running his mouth, and yet you don't see Hurd, Sutton, Dobbs, JRM, or any of them out there spouting back at them because "they feel disrespected."

So I don't exactly sympathize with them or feel bad for them because the media for once is actually discussing the possibility of Tennessee being legitimate this year.

Can you blame them? We would be saying the same thing if roles reversed

But the swing has gotten better as has the putting. We will hole out and this team will be a monster. The monkey (gator) will be off the backs of UT in Sept.

You need listening comprehension. Not even close to the context

Hmmm.......you married a Gator

Sorry, fade. Love is blind -- except once a year. I have learned to accept submission.

I wouldn't go that far. We beat Vandy like a red headed stepchild quite regularly. You don't see UT players going into the Media Days running their mouth about it. Kentucky has a completely dismal performance against UT. But again, Tennessee has class about it and doesn't say a word.

No, I can blame them all day long. It's called arrogance and it'll be nice to watch the Vols wipe the smugness off their faces.

Once a year....hahahaha....LMAO!

Dude, a couple of years ago, I told my Gator wife to tell her Bulldog CEO in the Tennessee-Georgia game to "gird his loins." That was the year of the infamous Pig fumble. My credibility has been in the crapper.

Does McElwain come off as unintelligent? It may also be he's a little pompous?

I can't quite put my finger on it, but it's bordering the same Dooley/Kiffin line. Obviously, McElwain wins though.

He doesn't come across as real bright...Dooley did though, most of the time & we see where that got us!! McElwain just looks kind of dumb. Kind of a Mike DuBose type...but a bit brighter than that! 😂🏈

McElwain doesn't have a large enough body of work to judge yet. 1 stop- OR - a field goal sailing a few feet the other direction (by US), and McElwain's body of work would have pretty much stunk. That game got him to the SEC -E game. Call him lucky last year, or GOOD? UF fans and UT fans may have different opinion of that.

Yes, frustrating - Yes Florida can yap until we shut them up.

The good news is that I trust the leadership on team 120. They are on a mission. Florida is in their way. Glad they aren't yapping.

You don't hear mouthing from one team & do from the other because one team has class & the other lacks the cl ...

I want our Jalen to put their Jalen on his backside.

More than once...

I would think that JH has a goals list for the season and that would be pretty high on the list ...

1. 1500 plus rushing yards
2. Break all UT rushing records
3. Adjust JT's and Florida's attitude
4. Win the SEC.
5. Win National Title.

IMO, it's not fear; it's pure arrogance. They think they own us. We're their Kentucky. Sucks, but that's how they feel, and their coaches make sure they feel that way.

Agree. It's also a reflection on the coach. I'm proud of how our players address the media and the respect they show toward other teams. My impression of McElwain is that he is classless because his players certainly are.
