'17' TN ATH Tee Higgins (Clemson commit)

Honest question. Outside of their trouncing of Miami (who fired their coach) and convincing win over Oklahoma, what other wins would you say Clemson looked great? They looked pedestrian quite a bit.

Also, doesn't Bama historically struggle against all mobile QB?

A kirby led defense sure did.
Let's hope that not only does it continue at bama, but that he also takes that same inability to the dawgs as well. :hi:

Nope. I appreciate you putting it on the record though.

Will he regret it? Maybe. That remains to be seen.

Something I was thinking about. Tee had been decommitted for awhile. I'd imagine the "handler" if true had been working the situation for some time. It appears the NCAA wasn't contacted till after Tee chose Clemson. I wonder if Tee had chose UT the NCAA wouldn't have heard a thing about the handler. Just something I find interesting.

Of course you find it interesting, because you are anti-UT.

Not at all. Just me taking a broad view of the situation. Anyone who knows how I feel about instate recruits obviously knows I wanted Tee in Knoxville.

Yea, stop trying to cover yourself up. You're full of sh*t and will continue to defend Clemson even if they found them guilty of giving Higgins money. We're not stupid.

I'm not defending Clemson. I just don't see an issue with it if we're doing the same thing. We're just not willing to pay whatever it takes.

"Substantive"? As in hypothetically playing a quality conference schedule? Your point about our common opponents has merit, but it took their own conference's referees flubbing the ACC championship game to even get them to the playoffs. No way POSSIBLE they lose to more than one SEC team? If they played in our conference? Other than the one they lost to in the championship of course. :)

I doubt they lose to Arkansas and UF; that's the schedule we played. We didn't play LSU we didn't play OM so it's futile to wonder how they would've done vs those. And I said they'd win 9-10 while playing in our league. Never insinuated they'd be 11-1 or 12-0.

The ACC championship flub simply preserved their win. They avoided the opportunity to lose, they didn't avoid a guaranteed loss.

They don't have to trounce people to say they're good. They beat a top 15 ND, top 15 FSU, top 15 UNC and top 4 OU team. That's a quality season IMO.

If they had a SEC schedule, they most likely wouldn't have had THE EXACT SAME SCHEDULE. And at some point, they were going to play Bama...just totally out of the realm of possibility they lose two, huh? :)

Lots of effort expended to talk about how great they are. Looks like love to me.

That goes hand in hand with lots of people disparaging them. You can translate it as "love," but it is more or less trying to get a few certain posters to realize that they are, at minimum, completely even with us in almost every facet.

I understand someone saying that they are on par with us, better for the last several years, but those were maybe the worst in our history. What I don't understand is why get so fired up about it?? Why is it so important for a UT fan to make sure clemson isn't "slighted"??

Militant about it even. :)

I don't think anyone needs to post in this thread for a while. It's needs to be single for a couple of weeks and find itself.

After hearing some very well connected people talk specifics about it (not on here), I have very little doubt that the handler stuff is absolutely legit. That is why I think there is zero hope that he'll flip back. It really is amazing how former Vols have appeared to become a huge hindrance to Tennessee in recruiting as opposed to being a help.
