Fair enough. Just hear it enough from the crazies. It's either trolls who love to start arguments, trolls who cheer for other teams, or complete negavols who wouldn't be happy with anything other than a completely loaded 5* roster. I'm just tired of hearing it. Like you, I'll start doubting Jones in recruiting when he gives me a reason to. I'm still excited about this class, especially with how I expect the season to play out.

Somebody was on the radio today talking to Erik Ainge about Preston Williams....😊😬😳

I tend to be very conservative with my predictions on the UF game because of our history of choking against them. I picked them to beat us each of the past 2 years. This year, I basically agree with Clay. It may not be 30, but I think we win by at least 2 scores.

I think this team is mad and confident. They haven't been those two things in the Florida game in a long time

For the record other previous Clay predictions:

Texas A&M is the new college football dynasty in 2013

BAMA football run is over in 2014

CBJ is just Dooley with worse hair in 2013

TN to win Flordia game each of the past three years

James Franklin will have PSU in title game within three years 2013

He does that every two years when Florida comes to Neyland. He said the exact same thing in 2012 and 2014. Clay Travis is right about Tennessee/UF exactly never.

I think the Florida game will be the one where the country takes notice that this team is a legitimate contender. I think the Vols win by 17+. You can almost feel the anger coming from this team and all Gator players are doing is fueling the fire. At some point in this game Hurd will look to run over Tabor...just my opinion but for some reason Team 120 seems focused after blowing so many opportunities last year

You mean the game is not played mano e mano?

Seriously, obviously it is an 11 man game, but I would not really call Ole Miss' talent 'weak'. Per Rivals over the last 4 years UGA's classes have ranked #9 while Ole Miss' have ranked #.13.75 Both teams have a lot of turnover this season. And some of the talent UGA has recruited during that stretch are starting for Louisville now.

And for someone who touts the significance of Dobbs to our success this season it is sort of funny to see you trying to downplay the QB role at another school. The disparity between Kelly and anyone UGA starts at QB this season is huge. Kelly threw for over 4000 yards last season and ran for over 500 more yards w/ 10 rushing TDs. Lambert threw for less than 2000 yards and 12 TDs, and had -39 yards rushing w/ 1 rushing TD. UGA's other alternative is a kid, albeit talented, who has never taken a college snap. Add to that the fact that Kelly and Ole Miss scored 43 pts on the Tide last season in Tuscaloosa while Lambert and UGA managed to put up a goose egg against the Tide in Athens...with a healthy Chubb.

Considering that UGA had no answer for Dobbs last season, and considering Smart had no answer for Kelly last season, I look for Kelly to have a field day against UGA in Oxford.

One of the very few times I will be pulling for Ole Piss.

I really don't care about the streak any longer. I was at the game last year when we managed to lose in just as painful a fashion as we did in 2014, and at that point I decided that my happiness is not going to hinge on one game like that. To be completely honest, I couldn't give a crap about Florida. I want to win, but I want the Vols to win every game. The streak will end when it ends.

It sure says something, though, that after 11 straight wins over us, it's THEY who are obsessed. It's THEIR players prattling on about Tennessee. We're living in their heads, in spite of the fact that they've owned us.

We've already won. I look forward to drinking their tears.

I addressed my post to Kristy...I'm fairly certain I heard her on the radio today, taking to Erik Ainge about Preston Williams today, how he did in Spring practice and how well Erik thinks he's gonna do this fall.

But again, it was addressed to Kristy to let her know that I heard her.

Haha. Was it somebody named Kristy or just a female sports fanatic? I've thought about calling in but never have. :)

I was at the Music City Bowl.

I won't be comfortable until 15 minutes after the clock hits 0:00

No kidding. Watched a UNC fan get his azz beat for rubbing it in in the parking lot. He was chanting SEC (like all the fans before the refs gave them an untimed down).

Ahhh memories

If Hurd does that then Tabor did his job and successfully got into his head. Hurd should be looking to run into the endzone, not trying to punish someone if he breaks into the secondary

I thought I was going to see a man die in the upper deck.

Drunk UNC fan was being taunted and decided to turn around a punch the closest guy in sight. Happened to be an older gentleman walking with his grandson. Knocked the guy out. Group of UT fans beat the **** out of him. Held him up against the wall and threatened to throw him over.

Ended up just rearranging the guys face. He got jacked up.

Nah, Hurd has 50lbs on Tabor. Run that ***** over and then high step it into the end zone.

BTW that SEC chant...

The rest of the league has been using endings to games such as the UNC, LSU, Florida, Oklahoma against us in recruiting for years.

So keep chanting that. I always chant Tenn-e-ssee while that goes on.

The rest of the SEC delighted in Tennessee's suffering. When we again sit on the throne, passing judgment as the rest of the southeast is trampled underfoot and turned to dust, our conference brethren will call out, "HELP US!" And I'll whisper "...No."
