Oh! I agree with you. We have to watch who post what. It's important about stuff like this. We can't have people on these forums going around tricking people into believing they know this & that.

I've been a member here now for 7 1/2 years but at least a 10 year lurker. They're only a select few that I truly do trust with information. GFW & OV are certainly two of them but I know of a 3rd & 4th one in which I won't mention here & now.

"News" was fine. What OV heard was news to him and he shared the news with us. Whether it is found to be objective truth is a completely different question, but at the very least it rose to the level of vetting as most of the crap we are fed on a daily basis.

I'm sure that those respected posters all have valid sources and yet having been on here a while now... they are wrong just as much as they are right. Even trying to read between the lines with Hubbs and Fortenberry was a miss with Higgins.

Limited history? Clemson is on the verge of being in the top 20 in all time wins. Their a top 25 program historically.

Their recruiting rankings over the last 5 years or so would land them about 5th in the SEC. Behind Bama, LSU, AU and UGA on average. Those are the only programs who've been more consistent.

Flavor of the month to me, implies they're hot right now cause of what kids saw last year. They have 3 BCS bowls in 5 years, several 1st round draft picks and OOC wins over LSU, Ohio St, OU, AU, UGA and USCein the last 3-5 years. They're not falling off anytime soon unless they're hammered with probation.

If Clemson played our schedule they'd be just as "bad"...meanwhile they're running the score up on OU.

"Substantive"? As in hypothetically playing a quality conference schedule? Your point about our common opponents has merit, but it took their own conference's referees flubbing the ACC championship game to even get them to the playoffs. No way POSSIBLE they lose to more than one SEC team? If they played in our conference? Other than the one they lost to in the championship of course. :)

No blind homerism. I recognize our weaknesses as well as our strengths, although I do like to celebrate the good a lot more than dwell on the bad. I have given you plenty of examples to support my opinion. I don't get the nothing substantive part.

I do like to have discussions on here where both sides can make fair arguments. One side can be persuaded or the sides can agree to disagree. I don't think these discussions need insults. Apparently you do when people disagree with you. Calls into question the merit of your case altogether.

Honest question. Outside of their trouncing of Miami (who fired their coach) and convincing win over Oklahoma, what other wins would you say Clemson looked great? They looked pedestrian quite a bit.

Also, doesn't Bama historically struggle against all mobile QB?
