So you don't think any of those were justified? I'll agree some aren't, but you are painting with a pretty broad brush to label all police officers bad because of a few.

I would also like to point out in that article that white males seem to be the most targeted by police.

That doesn't matter in this country... only blacks that are targeted matter in this country...when we bring up whites....we are racist bigots.

I didn't realize I said that. I have consistently said that it is far too many, however.

I'm just generalizing. Obvious;y, not all cops are bad. But too damn many would love nothing more than to harass the general public with these worthless nuisance violations and infractions, which increases the number of interactions with the public, which in turn increases the odds of a shooting. Reduce or eliminate these nuisance encounters with the public and you won't see as many violent interactions.

There has been more than 330 murders in Chicago this year. That is one US city.....that number 509 seems like a small number compared to how violent our citizens are at this present time.

That number is far too many, as well. I have given my solutions for the black-on-black crimes, as well. Get rid of child support and welfare and remove the incentives for women to have kids with no consequences. Also give fathers/men more rights in divorce and family court. You allow men to raise these kids and prevent fewer women from raising the thug spawn that they seem to only produce over the last 40-50 years.

You probably couldn't beat over half those men to raise those kids. I do agree that we need welfare reform and that would help.... You do know that men could prevent pregnancy if they wanted too.

I am aware of that. But we've tried for 30 years to hold men accountable with the child support laws. Again, all that does is incentivize the women to just have a kid and not have to answer to the father. Obviously, what we have been doing doesn't work. Maybe it is time to have women be accountable for their bodies and be accountable for who they allow in their bodies.

I think you may be correct that they have more kids to get more welfare but I doubt it's for more child support that they more than likely don't receive in the first place.

That's just it. The govt goes after the father to repay the govt benefits that the woman is taking. So you get rid of welfare and child support. Take away the incentive to have kids with no consequences on the mother. The mother would/should be more selective about who their children's father is. Plus, the taxpayer isn't burdened.

And not only that, but really, what has been accomplished by putting an irresponsible many in jail because of child support? You've removed him from his kids and the state is still taking care of not only the kids but now him because he locked away in jail. Very counterproductive set of circumstances.

When do we actually hold the fathers responsible? Dads should want to support their children and the govt shouldn't have to be involved.... It's a shame there are so many poor men in America.

The fathers are already held responsible by going to jail and paying child support. Obviously, that isn't enough and it isn't working. So instead of focusing on the fathers, we need to turn our attention on holding the mothers accountable. Seems like that is one of the 3rd rails of politics. Women can scream "It's my body, it's my choice", yet turn around and want daddy govt to bail them out of a poor decision that they made. They chose a poor father or may have a decent father but don't want him to raise the child and be involved, so they want the govt to step in and fix the mess.

As far as your comment about so many poor men, it takes two to tango. That must mean that there are a bunch of equally poor women... or more poor women. You have women that know good and well that one guy is a deadbeat and choose to get with him anyways. The facts show that there are more women with children then there are men, meaning that women are getting impregnated by the same low level of men. And why is that? Because there is no disincentive for women making poor choices.
