Not mine maybe yours
Actually the most reliable poster didn't state that money changed hands. It was stated that money was requested and denied, and that the university had proof of that and had submitted that proof to the NCAA.
I have no dog in this fight. I visit and read your VN bc its format is great re: individual recruits. This argument about dirty or not needs to be clarified.
Everyone breaks the rules. If you think not, you are naive. Every team has boosters. Boosters have bagmen. Most SEC schools are still doling out the proverbial hundred dollar handshake. Although with inflation it's probably like the $500 handshake these days. We do it. UT does it. I bet CrunchyLeb (who is hilarious by the way) has done it himself. An apparatus exists at every school to get these kids money. There was an article a while back that anonymously laid out how it works. Bagmen are largely fanboys that want to be "involved"!in the program etc.
The difference is the schools with no real tradition or campus atmosphere/ town, i.e. Auburn and Clemson (farm pastures with colleges attached) or Ole Miss( no tradition since Archie Manning). They can't just keep the status quo. Their sales Pitch is inherently flawed. So they have to go the lump sum route or the fee to visit route. Yes some schools pay for just visits. It's cash. Untraceable for the most part. It's widely known and admitted by his reprehensible stepfather that Laremy Tunsil committed to Richt twice and he held off bc Kiffens brother promised cash.
Travis Blanks a Clemson DB was a silent to UGA till he took a pay for visit to Clemson. Then a splashy photo of him with about $5k in cash was put up by him on Twitter then quickly deleted Word is Derrick Brown cost Auburn $150k this last year. Bama is known for their vehicles and free bling like local jewelry and clothes places.
Point is, we all cheat. The cowtown schools just take it to another level.
Oh I know who posters are, and I know as much about big time recruiting as a fan should. I just choose not to believe what some preach as the gospel until there is traction to it. Show me one, and I truly mean one, bit of evidence outside of Hearsay and I'll change my tune.

Just curious, but is Gaddis friendly to the program? Seems like every time Oak Ridge has some talent they go somewhere else.
Okay...pretty sure that has nothing to do w/ the following.
1. UT
2. Tee Higgins
3. Clemson
Your point?
I know some reputable folks are saying 250 grand "changed hands" for the young mans signature. I've been around a while. If some fool tied to the Clemson program forked over that money in July, all I can do is laugh. A quarter million to a "handler" with the promise Tee will sign sometime between Dec and NSD. All I can do is laugh. Idiots.
If true, X amount now, X amount NSD, X amount later.
Here is the thing and the elephant in the room, can't spout that he was paid and not think it wasn't a bid. If you think CU paid and UT did nothing, then you must believe Cam Newton turned down 180k to play free at AU. Anyone believe he did?
Irregardless, unless someone squeals like Tunsil's father did, it's impossible to prove. It's be going on in CFB forever, to some degree. No ones hands are clean. Like I've said, some go beyond what is deemed 'acceptable' by schools. Heck, Spurrier called Bama over Means and others and told them to 'knock it off' about going beyond the norm.
Read your response above. He stated that 5* get paid at programs all the time to which you said there was no prop blah blah a bunch of other dribble. Point is, it happens all the time and if people like OV heard it's the case..... Well put it all together champ. We know you can do it lil buddy!
