Not much at all. I'm sure the staff has been assuring recruits the lawsuit would not impact them at all. No impact to the coaching staff. Now it's settled, all that needs said is, "told ya".

It's good to know that Butch will never be deposed or have to take the stand in a trial. And that the Drae Bowles thing should be dropped completely.

We are ranked in the top 10.

The expectation is to finish higher in the final AP than you do in the preseason AP or else you underachieved.

2 losses or less are necessary to finish in the top 10.

If we go 9-3, we'll be this years Florida. A mediocre team that won a crappy division.

Damned almighty I agree something has happened to hurt us in recruiting and it's likely a number of things

IMO it's more about CBJ needing a new sales pitch. I think the slogans and coach speak have run their course with recruits

BUT

Win 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, or 15 games I believe butch will adjust and be able to recruit at a consistent top 10 level regardless of how many wins we get this year.( as long as we get to 8)

It all doesn't hinge on one or two plays here or there this season.

8 or 9 wins will NOT lead to consistent top 10 recruiting classes. That will solidify Jones as a mediocre/below average coach in the SEC and top recruits will not want to play here.

Winning only 8 games means we lose every game that matters this season. Would be a disaster.

Yup. 8 wins, really? Worse than last year? That would be a disaster for 2016.

If you're looking for an excuse or easy way out to accept losing, you can find one. I'm just not looking. QDs been there a while. If the coaches don't have him ready, it's on them. Its not an excuse.

You might call it excuses but I call it respect for the opponent

A&M has recruited better than us and so has Georgia/florida/Bama


So many here act like it's recruit in the top 10 or bust every class but when we play teams that have done that it's clearly ignored.

Makes no sense to me

I wouldn't trade rosters with UGA, A&M, or UF. Any recruiting advantages they have over UT are minimal and likely amount to a couple of extra do-nothing 4* benchwarmers.

Our starting 22 is really damn good and so is the two-deep. We will not head into those games with any kind of roster disadvantage whatsoever.

The 2014 & 2015 classes were strong. 2016 fell off a bit. 2017 is looking worse. IMO if Butch and staff can't win the East at a minimum with the roster we have today, I'm saying they will not in the future, with lesser talent.

2016 is the year. Its that simple. If you are ok with 7-9 win seasons and looking for ready made excuses, that's on you. I just can't. Butch rebuilt the roster. I may not care for some of the tactics, but he got it done. UT is picked to be in the title game. Fall short of that and I don't really care why, we missed our best chance to be relevant again.
