'17' TN ATH Tee Higgins (Clemson commit)

We'll I for one hope his parents raised him better than that. Letting a kid think he is above the rules because he's a 5* is how things get out of hand. If it's a rule at Clemson and you're not done taking visits, wait. If you're done fine, go ahead and commit. I get it you need to think those visits are possible. I think you're just hoping.
So you think since Dabo has had this policy not one recruit has broken it? Or if they have the offer is rescinded?

Evolution of Dobbs??? Dobbs hasn't learned or been taught how to properly throw a football in the 3 yrs he has been playing. You think he is going to come out this year and all of a sudden know how to throw it?? Why would you see the production of any of those receivers pick up? Our receivers havent gotten better in years...maybe have gotten worse. The coaches on the offensive side of the ball need upgrading.

Scoring Offense
2014: 11th in SEC (27.6 PPG)
2015: 3rd in SEC (34.3 PPG)

Passing Offense
2014: 7th in SEC (2,914 yards)
2015: 7th in SEC (2,582 yards)

Rushing Offense
2014: 12th in SEC (1,903 yards)
2015: 3rd in SEC (2,908 yards)

Total Offense
2014: 11th in SEC (4,817 yards)
2015: 6th in SEC (5,490 yards)

Our offense is improving just fine. Like I said, the passing numbers will improve as the arm talent at QB improves (Dobbs) or upgrades (Dormady/Gaurantano) and the OL continues to gain experience.

And I think you are applying too much of your own thought process to a kid who has already de-committed once and has been all over the place about his intentions. It wasn't that long ago, he announced Tennessee as his leader (May 31st) and he has also announced intentions to visit Ohio St as recently as a week ago. This has nothing to do with his parents or how he was raised - he just looks a little flaky or maybe like a kid who doesn't know what he wants.

He decommited from a school without the no visit rule. All over the place. Maybe that was on purpose to make his announcement interesting. Mission accomplished obviously. Few saw it coming. At least on our end.

Totally agree. Those schools that live and die by the pass are exciting to watch but championships are won with defense and ball control.

Except defense hasn't been a major problem for Clemson since Veneables took over. They were 71st in the country before he arrived. Since then he's improved them to 64th, 23rd, 1st and 10th (after losing 9 of 11 starters). Their offense combined with a top 25 defense at minimum is an excellent combo.

Butch is behind this. Going to flip to us on Signing Day. Huge troll job on Clemson.

We won 9 last year. Best season in a very long time. If they are coming, looks like someone needs to tell them it's time cause the class looks very UKish.

If you think our current class looks UKish then you need new glasses. The last three years of recruiting should have taught us to not count CBJ out.
Again with CBJ we will be run first and some recruits will not like it. We will have to settle for recruits who like winning championships with a strong run game and defense. That formula worked for CPF, Bear Bryant, Nick Saban - it has always worked. We should be more concerned about oline and dline than wr.

...again, I think you're reading way too much into the no visit rule at Clemson and you're not being consistent when you say that maybe that was on purpose to make his announcement interesting... So, he has to follow a no visit rule by Clemson or else his parents didn't raise him well (you implied this in another post) but it's okay to mislead someone as to his intentions to make an announcement more interesting? I think it's more likely that the kid is a little flaky (remember when Oregon was a flavor of the month for him and playing basketball would be a factor?). I think he will keep his options open until NSD regardless of where he says he is committed. I do expect him to make other visits and not just to Tennessee (but he will make it here for a game).

Apples and oranges... we only drop fringe 3* projects - not players the caliber of Higgins...and don't kid yourself, Dabo Swinney is not dropping Higgins as a commitment if he does visit Ohio St and Tennessee this fall - which he most likely will. I think you are putting way entirely too much stock in the belief that policy will keep him from other visits. He may very well sign with Clemson but Butch will get him on campus this fall.

He will drop him in the sense if #2 WR on their board wants in while Tee is visiting then he's in. Tee is always welcome back if the room is there. He made a 5* LB decommit last year and he later recommitted because the room was still there. Dabo likely won't accept a commitment from a project, filler if a bigger guy is holding out but if someone like OrTre Smith wants in and Tee is in Knoxville you better believe Smith is in and Higgins is out if they have 1 WR spot.

He's a local kid that has done very well. I wish him nothing but the best wherever he ends up playing. If it's probably Clemson, I hope he personally puts a whoppin' on USCjr every time they play them.

Losing Higgins is a huge loss. We desperately needed to gain some momentum. For whatever reason it appears that Butch has lost his magic. Losing top in-state talent and replacing them with 3 star prospects is going to lead to mediocrity in the future.

I don't wear glasses but maybe I need some. An 86 ranking average is kinda UKish. Yes, I know it's July. My opinion is based on today, not an imaginary future that isn't reality yet. Hopefully it starts to improve. Today wasn't a great sign of things to come.
