2016 Election Thread Part Deux

I have no clue what makes anyone believe trump would make even a decent president. I can't think of a single policy of his that would benefit this country in any way.

At one point his tax plan sounded decent, then he changed his mind on that too

Let him work his magic. He is doing his job... Destroying the Republican party.

At 20, yeah I did. But let's not forget that the other option said he was alright with our troops being in Afghanistan for 100 years. At the time Obama seemed to want to end the wars (although he's really just started more).
I'll never apologize for voting for Obama. He has been far from perfect but he has been night and freaking day better than the idiot that came before him.

I guess no one cares about government spending and debt on a gargantuan scale. The fool and his predecessor are essentially the same, duncan.

Yeah Trump his the Frankenstein monster Fox news and talk radio always wished for. The GOP is fracturing and after they are going to get their asses handed to them come Nov.

In the end that may be a blessing in disguise because they will either have to rebrand and adopt a new identity or they will go the way of the Whigs.

I'm voting for Johnson in November. I believe he is the only good option for the country in this election. I'll never vote for Trump or Hillary. I would stay home if they were the only choices

I agree to a point but the other choices of McCain and Romney would have been worse imo.

Same.

One day (hopefully before this country kills itself from within), I hope enough people realize that the candidates are 2 sides of the same coin. One wants to spend one their sacred cows. The other wants to spend on theirs. And not a single person with the cajones to stop the ridiculous overspending.

I agree 100% on the two party system. Both are bought and sold just to the same masters just different interests

I am done voting for the lesser of two evils. This will be the first time I vote third party, and I may never vote Red or Blue for president again. The only way change will ever happen is to have more viable candidates.

Good luck with Johnson. He doesn't have a chance. But, it's good you're still looking for better options.
I know he doesn't have a shot but if enough people rally behind him and even Stein maybe it it can lead to the two party death grip loosening down the road.

I don't vote. Haven't voted since Bush II. I voted 3rd party in college. Viable candidates are good. Finding someone above the corrupting nature of DC, is better. Not likely to find such a person, though.

You'd vote for me.

I'd make you Court Jester and Minister of Bad Puns.

Hell it's a pipe dream I know but I'm tired of casting my vote for the lesser of two evils

That was me, too. I have found much more peace controlling the things within my power. I hate taxes to the Federal government, so I've worked to get my rate as low as possible. Currently i pay about 8%. I think all the social/PC bs is laughable, so I generally ignore it.

Nah. He literally has no chance. Tennessee electoral votes will be for Trump whether I vote or not.

I agree, but I'll probably vote Johnson just as a statement vote. If enough people vote independent across the nation, it will be a statement. Either the parties see it and begin representing their constituents, or the voters see it and become less scared to vote indy.

There's always hope. Yours is encouraging. Having voted in the early 90s, i ask myself did anything change after Perot? I think it did. Newts contract with America was an appeal to what made Ross attractive. Was short-lived, unfortunately.
