2016 Election Thread Part Deux

Romney won independents by 5 and 96% of republicans voted for him and he still lost.

It could happen again, too; but not necessarily because of the candidates. The Dims have a huge bloc of voters because of what they promise and deliver - money - entitlements. The Reps haven't been paying attention - aren't offering their voters anything - haven't tried to slow entitlements which transfer income from their voting bloc to the D bloc.

Currently it comes largely down to brand loyalty and the Reps have absolutely lost that battle. Proof is something like 60% of the voters claiming Hiliary is qualified to be president regardless of her past. Voters selecting Trump are poking a stick in the GOP's eyes - a vote of no confidence based on performance prior performance.

The GOP has only one real play - jobs - the economy, and they seem too stupid to realize it. If the GOP would go after the free trade agreements and run a platform of bringing jobs back, they could very well be on to something. It's the economy and always has been; and the winner will very likely be the party that has a plan to fix it - that requires industry and jobs and moves people on entitlements back to work.

I think their deep hatred of trump will make you wrong

This is what confuses me. Before he announced he was running he was never hated by blacks, the media, the left, etc. Now he's a racist, bigot, yada yada yada. Any democrat who calls him a bigot or racist for what he said about Muslims better back up and post the same thing about Jimmy Carter. I'm not saying this in trumps defense as much as the hypocrisy of democrats. When they do it, it's okay. When a republican does it, it's racist? I don't mean this at you, just what you said about the voters, which I think you're right.

Before he ran for president, he had a smaller platform to spew racial propaganda. But yes, he was still called sexist. Prior to running for president he told a woman on his tv show that she'd look great on her knees

“Hey look, Steve, I get it. You want me to endorse Trump,” Lee told NewsMaxTV’s Steve Malzberg when asked why he wasn’t “trumpeting Trump.”

“We can get into that if you want,” he continued. “We can get into the fact that he accused my best friend’s father of conspiring to kill JFK. We can go through the fact that he’s made statements that some have identified correctly as religiously intolerant. We can get into the fact that he’s wildly unpopular in my state, in part because my state consists of people who are members of a religious minority church. A people who were ordered exterminated by the governor of Missouri in 1838. And statements like that make them nervous.”

Now watch Volnation squeal and squirm to try to make Mike Lee into the GOP establishment.

Black people have hated Trump since the 1970s. The Central Park 5 incident only made that hate even more powerful.

Now the sexist stuff I've heard a lot.
