2016 Election Thread Part Deux

So what happens if Hillary is indicted right before the general election? Would Warren run in her place or would there be an emergency convention type process? Would Clinton run anyway? Just curious.

Also, would that ensure a Trump victory in November?

Scary to think about. We have some winners to vote for!

I'm over in NC right now. Just saw a commercial where Hillary took credit for getting healthcare passed.... which is funny if you're over 40 and can remember the disaster it was in 1993 when she tried to get out front and push it as First Lady.

Bham, GV, Huff, you, LG, OC, GG, (apologies to any omitted) really stay on the topic at hand, IMO. Others like me wade in if the subject isn't tiresome.

Hey, I resent that. I only wade in if the subject isn't tiresome. (I just have great internet cardio...)

FBI 'Revolt Of Watergate Proportions' If Hillary Skates - Fox Nation

One can only hope..

NEW YORK – A former U.S. attorney says there is no doubt that, before the November election, the FBI will recommend to Attorney General Loretta Lynch that she prosecute Hillary Clinton for mishandling of classified information, warning that intervention by the White House would provoke a revolt of Watergate proportions.

In an interview with WND, Joseph diGenova said that based “on all the available evidence, including what is publicly known and what is known in the law enforcement community, there is sufficient, credible evidence needed to meet the predicate to begin a grand jury – sufficient evidence for probable cause to believe various crimes have been committed.”

He said he wouldn’t be surprised if the FBI has already begun retrieving documents from the Clinton Foundation as its investigation of Hillary Clinton expands into issues of political corruption.

Poll: Clinton and Trump run neck-and-neck - CNNPolitics.com

A new Quinnipiac University poll shows Hillary Clinton leading Trump by just two points, 42% to 40%, a much closer race than other recent surveys have shown.

With third-party candidates included, Clinton leads 39% to 37%, with Libertarian Party nominee Gary Johnson at 8% and Green Party candidate Jill Stein at 4%.

Just goes to show how biased the wsj and NBC polls are.

I wouldn't call them biased, but I think the polls are simply the reflection of what's been going on this entire election season.

Nobody knows what's going to happen next.

I think they poll "certain" areas to get a desired outcome. Trying to influence the rest to get on board....

Of that, I have no doubt. And really, all polls are guilty of it to an extent.

But just like this poll has shown, this election isn't over until it's over. Hillary was coronated as having the election sewn up before she even entered the race by just about everyone. But as we've seen, she hasn't exactly had an easy time of it with Bernie and all. Now the media (or certain parts of it) are moving back to that presumptive stance that she will win regardless.

I think this election is going to take a few more twists and turns, some curve balls are going to get tossed and you're going to see some fireworks as we go along.

Ok, over sampled then.

I think Trump has had his "47%" moment with the judge and all. Not to say he can't (or won't) open his mouth again and insert foot. But he's been suspiciously quiet since Lewandowski left.

Hopefully his campaign staff is working with him to focus on the issues and beat Hillary that way instead of tossing schoolyard insults.

I maintain its pretty much even, look at the battleground states, their polls don't coincide with the yak squeeze the other polls are putting out. I think it will come down to the debates this fall..
