I don't even think Tennessee is on his radar? I could be wrong but I never thought he had serious interest in us.

Well if he decommits from Bama does that put Bama back in play for Akers. That's what I meant.

I'd assume Coleman is safe even if both Akers and Chandler want in? Losing Hurd, Kamara, and Young out probably allows for it.

Look to Ty Chandler, not Akers. Akers isn't coming here. Great RB, would love to have him, but just doesn't seem like he is seriously considering us.

Most likely. A RB may not be making a bad decision to wait a bit. Good chance Hurd and AK go. If a recruit waits till Nov/Dec/Jan timeframe they would know for sure. I'm sure our coaches are selling PT as a FR. If for some crazy reason 1 or both decide to stay, that FR recruits PT is nonexistent.

We probably do. Just not the ones we want.

I think the 2017 class is short on elite RBs. We've been spoiled by 2014. Its not common for there to be 8-10 elite RBs in a single class. Typically it's just 2-3.

And this year only Najee Harris and Cam Akers are truly elite RB prospects.

So you're only elite if you're a 5*? So Tyler Byrd isn't elite? Weren't you saying he's one of the top players in this class and he's a future nfl stud? That's a lot for someone who isn't elite...

Edit: and before didn't you say you don't think Jacoby Stevens is elite? Someone compared him to Jalen Ramsey and Sean Taylor and you said he's no where close to them.

Yep.

I go by film not stars. I watched both Akers and Stevens and was not overly impressed. Neither looked explosive.

So far the only 5 star guys I have seen is Tee Higgins and Justin Foster.
