Lol. He's been ruled academically ineligible. So...he lost his scholarship right? That's my understanding of how it works. He can't be on scholarship if he's academically ineligible (but he can earn a scholarship back).
As for the attrition. Lol, look forward to it? Sure why not. I look forward to us losing a few. Why? Because that's how you build a better program. Butch has shown from day 1 that he understands this concept as he has been heavy-handed with the attrition. And if we are to expect a good size class in 2017 (which we are) then losing 6+ is almost a given. So in that sense I very much look forward to us losing them, as it shows Butch is keeping us on course for a good size class in 2017 and is committed to making the program better in the long-run.
JP is correct but that's ok, you admitted that you don't do math.
But like him, I'm extremely curious.
What do you mean you look forward to it?
Believe the math looks something like this;
1. Townsend - gone
2. Creamer - here (pending transfer)
3. Joe Young - gone? (pending medical scholarship)
4. Vincent Perry - here (academically ineligible, thus free scholarship)
5. OL #1
6. OL #2
We'll just chalk it up to lost in translation because it definitely doesn't come off as you applauding.
And attrition, to me at least, means -
Dey gone. Well- he here.
Charger, brother, I appreciate you having my back, but it's really not worth it. Some people just gotta be that way.
And honestly, I don't mind when people are that way to me. Just dislike the eagerness to discount our players, like they cease to exist to each other and the team when they've gotten injured, or lost a scholarship because of eligibility issues.
But some people just gotta be that way.
Back on topic: I'm personally not gonna count Blair or Robertson gone for a few days, unless more news breaks. We don't know right now if it's emotion talking, or something more permanent like considering chances of playing time somewhere else that they wouldn't get here.
