Found out about this last night. We were working to confirm before we ran.
Here is the thing, everyone at Tennessee thought he was coming to Knoxville we talked too. Then in the last 48 hours we were told that kid was leaning to UGA (Reed). Now we have confirmed he signed with UGA last night.
HUGE PIECE and I will be VERY SURPRISED if Deangelo Gibbs is not a Dawg. These two are VERY CLOSE..

No doubt that this will help UGA recruit Gibbs, but Mansell is easily one of the most biased analysts at 247. I would not take his word as gospel at this point.

The only difference if he is the 'proper hygiene is important' Dooley is the fact if Ga gets rid of Smart, the cupboard will be stuffed for the next coach. Dooley only recruited 3 stars or basically guys he didn't have to recruit. He knew if he recruited against smaller schools, the UT name would do the recruiting for him. Some weren't even 3 stars, they were 2 stars who got the SEC bump.

I just don't get why this was the most important piece of his recruitment though? A cousin is on both teams. Is it that big of a deal to be on the same team as one cousin or another to him? Honest question to GFW or anyone else in the know. Maybe Uncle Dale needs to get in his ear.

Could be but expect the boosters to expect more of a return on their investment since they ponied up to pay for the $30 million plus IPF. I don't think he will have the same leash as Richt but Richt's best years was his first 5 so who knows.

I still get nauseous anytime I see his name. We came seriously close to being screwed for a lot longer than we were.

Had he been here 6 more months, we would not have only had a terrible 2013 class instead of an ok one, we would have lost the backbone of our current team. The 2014 class.

Damn near did anyway, because of him. CBJ had a lot of ground to make up with legacy and in-state players alike.

Why didn't Gibbs push UT? If Warrior is already there, Gibbs favors us, why would the cousin choose UGA if they are all close? Something seems off.

IDT anybody has a long leash these days. Muschump got the boot in 4 years. Too bad Dooley didn't get it in 2.
