2016 Election Thread Part Deux

Imagine that:

Here's why voters don't like Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton - AOL

In the poll, conducted by Morning Consult, the top reason voters looked negatively upon Clinton was because they believed she was untrustworthy. Nearly half — 47% — of respondents who held an unfavorable opinion of her listed "is not trustworthy" as one of their top two reasons.

For Trump, those who disliked him said they believe he is racist. Of respondents who hold a negative view of Trump, 25% offered that reason as one of the top two reasons they view him in negative light.

Clinton's results were concentrated on six responses — each receiving more than 10% of total answers. The second most popular choice for holding an unfavorable view of Clinton was that she "is corrupt." That answer was followed by "changes her positions when it's politically convenient," "is out of touch with average Americans," "says one thing byt does another," and "does not share my values."

The second most popular choice for why a respondent viewed Trump negatively was because he "does not have the right experience to be president," which was selected by 20% of those surveyed. That was followed by "is not trustworthy," "does not know enough about the issues," "changes his positions when it is politically convenient," "has extreme political views," "is corrupt," "is out of touch with average Americans," "lacks experience," and "is sexist."

Why don't you answer the question. What is the wall for?

I apologize, I must have missed it - what are you bleating on about? I assume it was some sort of super duper gotcha question since you and at least seven other Trump jock sniffers managed to pile in your clown car.

What about the wall?

It appears you are correct:

Corey Lewandowski fired from Trump campaign - CNNPolitics.com

ETA: I suspect this might have been some sort of back door deal with the GOP as well. Getting rid of one to get the help of the many within the party apparatus.

Does not appear to be anything that coordinated. Rather, the daughter hated him because her husband did not get along with him and he was trashing him.

Corey Lewandowski fired from Trump campaign - CNNPolitics.com

Ivanka Trump, the candidate's daughter, played a pivotal role in convincing Trump to take action against Lewandowski. She had been critical of Lewandowski for months and this was not the first time that she had leaned on her father to part ways with his top aide. Contributing to Ivanka Trump's recent dissatisfaction with Lewandowski were intensifying tensions between Lewandowski and Ivanka Trump's husband, Jared Kushner, an influential force behind the scenes. One source said rumors swirled that Lewandowski had attempted to plant negative stories in the press about Kushner -- a final straw for Ivanka Trump.
By this point, Eric Trump, Ivanka Trump's brother, had already reached a breaking point with Lewandowski and expressed his frustrations about the campaign operations to his father, according to a senior campaign source.

It was ultimately Ivanka Trump herself who sat down with her father on Sunday and convinced him to let Lewandowski go -- even offering an ultimatum of sorts about her own continued involvement with the campaign, according to sources with knowledge of this conversation.
The development suggests that Kushner -- who is already involved in building a transition team for Donald Trump should he win the White House in November -- could play an increasingly prominent role in guiding the Trump campaign.
Lewandowski did not appear to know that the axe was about to drop: The firing was so sudden that he was on a call with Republican National Committee staffers Monday morning, just hours before his firing, according to one GOP source.
Sources close to the campaign view Lewandowski's ouster as a major reset for Trump's campaign -- as well as an explicit acknowledgment that things were not going well.
Those closest to Trump worried that Lewandowski presented multiple problems for Trump. For one, they feared that Lewandowski was a hindrance to enlisting experienced, veteran strategists to join the campaign. There were also concerns that Lewandowski -- with direct access to Trump's ear -- would get the candidate agitated on issues that ultimately "did not matter" to the campaign and feed some of Trump's misguided instincts, two sources said.

I think it was pretty well understood that Trump does not have in place a traditional campaign team directing his efforts, but this suggests to me it is far more amateurish than even those earlier reports.

Long way to go Carlos...... Long way to go

Carlos gonna hang himself if trump pulls it off...I have never seen somebody so worried about an old white dude lol

With the looks of these poll numbers, demographics. The fact that Trump has no campaign infrastructure, no money and now no campaign manager. I've got nothing to worry about.

Instead, we will get a corrupt, liar, power hungry lesbian that will put the last nail in the USA coffin.

You realize you posted the exact same link I did?

What got my interest was that Priebus was involved.

Actually, I missed both of those tidbits.

I guess we should now magically expect Trump to transform into a delightful, calm, contemplative, and stable candidate?

It looks as though Trump's and the DNC's plan to destroy the national GOP is coming together nicely.

I wonder if he'll find a place in the new Clinton administration? Ambassador to China, or Mexico, perhaps?

LOL, that would be great!!

Under Lewandowski's watch Trump has the weakest campaign infrastructure in modern political history. Add that to his frequent criticisms of other GOPers and it has an effect on the enthusiasm for down-ballot races. Priebus is trying to salvage as much as he can, I suppose. If Manafort becomes the top guy it would help a bit, but the only thing that can help Trump enough to win is for him to stop talking out of his a**.

He ran a great primary campaign, but you are correct, his national campaign has suffered.

And one has to wonder how much influence Lewandowski has had. And how much could change with new leadership prior to the convention. It's more on Trump, but apparently he listens to his family members so there is hope they tell him to STFU and remain on point.

If you didn't want the power hungry lesbian you shouldn't have voted for Trump. You should have known better after Bill Clinton told him he should run for the Republican nomination.
