Lady Vols Recruiting Info

I literally have seen nothing from her in 4 years to suggest that. She was not a confident player, and was content to hustle on defense and treated the ball like a hot potato when Tennessee was on offense.

By all accounts, she was exceptional in all facets of her life, except as a basketball player.

It's a coach's job to instill confidence in his/her players. Why don't UConn players have that problem?

So Volfan, is it your conclusion that Middleton will never change? I haven't seen her play very often, and I was just wondering.
This would be the year it needs to happen. Players do change with maturity and maybe the light will go on for her this season. She should be hitting three or four threes a game she has the talent to do so.

Some uconn players so have this problem..... He just have a system(both recruiting and play) that it's hard to notice the ones that fail to live up to their previous billing.

So no recruiting news from this thread? Shocking. You guys go back to talking about everything except recruiting. Be back in another week to be disappointed again.

Can't you guys be more respectful when the OP asks you not to hijack his thread about recruiting? There are numerous other threads here about CHW, the current team, UConn, etc, etc., or you could start one.

I think the problem is the so called "recruiting insiders" aren't providing updates I understand that certain periods are dead periods but there is no information on who the team is out scouting, who may have added us to their list, who's deleted us from their list or anything so when lack of information happens people are more incline to touch on other topics. I don't think it is intentional, I just think that's the way it happens. I would like to know if we have any interest in the McKinney the 6'1 Forward from Knoxville or if we will wait to late. She is literally on our campus and I would think if we offered her she would have accepted already or are we assuming that she is too short and want to wait for the other athletes to make decisions and then it be too late as she would have signed elsewhere. Also someone mentioned Amira Collins was visiting but provided no more updates as to if it was a good visit or not, in order for the thread to remain strictly a recruiting thread, there has to be updates more frequently. That's just my opinion.

It appear Tennessee and 2017 recruit Danielle Patterson are having major difficulty agreeing on a date to visit the school. In speaking with Danielle's father, he wants to schedule an unofficial, while Danielle's AAU team Westchester Hoopers NYC will be in Tennessee before the live period in July. It appears that Tennessee has not been able to accommodate at this time. Stay tuned!

Yes, Jim is a great guy and has put a lot into this thread. Let's honor his request and stay on topic.

But, true....would be nice if some of those in the "know" could give us some updates:).

If she is one of our top recruiting prospects that we have interest in, we have to make ourselves available (or am I wrong) we could possibly get a verbal out of her following this visit. Somebody needs to make this happen and not have them second guessing our interest in her.

Patterson is a top prospect for us!
Sabrina Ionescu committed to Oregon over the weekend. MVP of Mcdonald's all star game. We were not in the running, but it's recruiting news and odd that she waited so long. She chose them over Washington.

That's crazy! You mean to tell me no one on the coaching staff can make time or change plans so the young lady can make an unofficial visit? I'm hoping the staff does not blow it. She is a top target for us and can help this team a lot. I hope this is settled quickly!

I think that removes Westbrook from us as well then, to my knowledge they have talked about attending the same school and Oregon is Westbrook's home state

Same thing I said if you have to cancel a vacation you get it done. Coach Reeves is the recruiting coordinator so she should certainly be the one there.

Is it ok to have unofficial visits when it's not a live period? If so I don't know why there is a problem. Let her come.

It's hard for me to believe our coaching staff can't find time to schedule a visit for a TOP recruit....I just can't buy that coming from someone who is 2 post old.

Where is she playing? I am assuming there is a AAU tournament in TENNESSEE and NO COACHES are going????????????????? There should be a caravan of coaches headed there and a Parade after the Tournament to escort her to our Campus!!! What in the World is going on in Knoxville that is more important??

No wonder we cannot get a top recruit to commit! We better WAKE UP!:clapping:

Well that would suck if Westbrook stays on the west coast. I think she has UT & SC in her top 10. Was hoping she would come east.

Per the NCAA regulations and recruiting calendar, the first 5 days of July is a quiet period, during which the coaches can meet face-to-face with a player on campus. The rest of the month is designated as evaluation or dead periods, during which time the coaches may not meet with potential recruits.

Recruiting Calendars | NCAA.org - The Official Site of the NCAA
[The July calendar is the 2015-16 link in the upper right.]

The Westchester Hoopers are scheduled to play in The Battle in the Boro in Nashville, July 10-13. July 10-12 is an evaluation period during which the coaches can watch the tournament but not meet with the players. July 13 is a dead period and the coaches may not attend the tourney.

National Exposure Basketball

Unless Ms. Patterson wants to make a trip to Knoxville during July 1-5, there isn't much the coaches can do to accommodate her with a meeting in Tennessee. More agitation and coach-bashing for no reason. :banghead2:

I don't think anyone was coach-bashing we responded based on the information provided, the person did give the dates of the tournament and etc, therefore we respond based on what we see
