'17 Class discussion (split)

Well you're not doing a very good job of refuting my points are you now Butchie? I suppose this is when the personal attacks start, should I gird myself? :eek:lol:

I never said we had multiple NFL scouts on the staff. Thought you were being condescending and dismissive (with fake intelligence superiority) in declaring that I wasn't capable of grasping your "points". That's "personal" boys and girls. Along with the "ridiculous, even for you" rejoinder. Pretending ain't real and when you don't present any points, just inane prattling... You've successfully deflected any attempt to prove your non-points wrong. You don't have a point. Now you may don your girdle. :hi:

Josephs interned for 2 summers while he was in school. Big deal. And he sure aint no "scout."

"Former NFL scouts" actually implies more than 2, but we have exactly one. Sorry about that, you're not very good at this.

Also, My original comment didn't say we have former NFL scouts. I said we had former NFL GUYS. And I said Rucker said that. I also didn't know Merritt was replaced. Nor did I ever argue he wasn't replaced. So I'm not wrong at all lol. You have been arguing for no reason at all, it's funny.

He still did it, didn't he? You can't say he wasn't just because he was an intern, and I'm sure it's more than you have done involving football anyways. So I guess what Dobbs has done the past 2 summers means nothing because it was just an internship?

Holy crap, how old are you? Seriously. You think a guy that graduated college 5 years ago, who was an
"intern" for a few NFL teams qualifies as a "scout?" This is why nobody on this board should be allowed to
even mention the NFL . The lack of discernment is beyond anything I've ever seen before.

And what does Dobbs have to do with this? OH man, you're really treading water here.

Dobbs has interned for engineering firms the last two years...by your reasoning, he can't use that on his resume.

Its not "NFL guys" its one guy, and you never said that, you pinned it on Rucker and "other people."

And you also said this when I replied to the post about "1/2 these guys will get bumped."

Fant was a 4* untill he got injured. He'll be be a 4* after his senior year. Henderson, Membry, Fant, Labuzza, Will al recieve bumps.

Thats 4 guys, not half this class. Dig hole deeper.

So what? As usual you have no point, and my point is this ....just because some guy spent a few months
interning with an NFL team that does NOT qualify him as a scout! Case closed.

I did say that. Go look at my original comment. I said its NFL GUYS(not scouts) and I said idk who they are but Wes Rucker and other guys said that.

I didn't say half our class would get bumps with my original comment. I just named those 4 players. So idk what your point is. You're just reaching every chance you get and saying I said stuff when I didn't.

And YES, it is guyS he worked in the NFL, did he not? It doesn't matter if it was as an intern or not. You realize even as an intern you learn a lot of stuff and you still work, right?

I am being condescending, thats what you deserve.

My points in this thread are these and these only:

1) we do not have "NFL scouts" reviewing film. We have one guy, Bob Wettle.
2) its silly to believe "half this class will be bumped." Thats never happened before
and it ain't happening this year.

Now, if you take issue with either one of those points, then please lets hear it. But as
usual you're just being argumentative for the sake of...

Too bad my original comment said nfl GUYS, not SCOUT. He worked in the NFL, did he not?

And Dobbs never worked at an engineering firm. His poor Mom.

Once again. Go read original comment. I said NFL guys, I didn't called him a scout.

Dobbs has interned the last 2 summers, that's what he has to do with this. So is he not allowed to use that as his resumes? He can't say he worked at Pratt and Whitney? (I believe it was there, not 100% sure)

Don't remember us "arguing". You were occupying yourself (per usual) fighting the English language. So much anger...so poorly expressed.

Josephs was never an "NFL guy."

And when I said "No they won't to the comment declaring 1/2 the class would get bumped you stated, and I quote.

Yes they will. Fant was a 4* untill he got injured. He'll be be a 4* after his senior year. Henderson, Membry, Fant, Labuzza, Will al recieve bumps.

I know about interns, my company employs them. Josephs is not an NFL guy, he was never an NFL "scout" and his
qualifications are extremely lean. He doesn't even have a football background or it would be posted in his bio. LOL

and they will, did you follow CBJ's former classes?

Interning is still wokring with the NFL, he learned stuff from them. So what dobbs did during the past 2 summers did not count? Better go tell Coach he completely wasted his time and it doesnt do anything for him, Better tell Dobbs too

Its very simple....list all the recruits from our last 4 classes that got a bump in the fall. Shouldn't be too hard, by my calculations that should be:

- 53 of the 106 Butch has recruited that received a bump after they committed.

Get too it.

And I've taken screen shots today so we can talk later about the 8.5 you claim will be upgraded this fall.

Tennessee will sign between 23-28. We are in for multiple high rate guys. Higgins, Smith, Chandler, Gibbs, Williams Gaddy Will all be vols. Then You have guys like Wade, Akers, who's 50/50 on the vols. We'll easily sign a top 10 class
Just curious, How are you so confident that these kids are going to be Vols?

They all seem to be vol leans, especially by what they say. Williams is the one I'm least confident about. Plus, from what I've heard about them, but things could change. It'll be a top 10 class tho, no doubt

Also Holloman, he's starting to like the Vols more and more and Henderson says he's gonna get him in orange. I don't consider him a vol lock yet tho

I would agree with you and (trying not to puke) D4H, if not for the fact that there are those out there that are now saying why they have been hyping Tennessee so much. Their words, not mine...."there are other SEC schools that have recruited better than Tennessee, but Tennessee has done a better job of developing their players."

Best staff in America?......maybe?

Let me re-iterate......1/3 of our starters, for the team many are saying are play-off/NC contenders were 3* prospects out of high school.

Um...no. Not really. mostly 4's and 5's. very few 3's.

Bottom line is this: on the current trajectory, this class is destined to finish around 15th, meaning around 8th in the SEC. There's really no spinning it otherwise.

Or, everyone around here better get warm to the idea of cutting commits, as Butch pulls in bigger fish late and tosses a few back. Embrace the filthiness of the game, these are your two outcomes.
